Manchester United vs Fulham Bet Builder Tips: 7/1 shot on home win

FA Cup holders Manchester United are back in action on Sunday (16:30, BBC One), as they welcome Fulham to Old Trafford. These two will be desperate to secure themselves a spot in the quarter-finals and the FA Cup and Europa League could both provide salvation for United and Ruben Amorim after a difficult year. Below you can find my Manchester United vs Fulham Bet Builder Tips.

Manchester United to win
An awful lot has been made of Manchester United’s poor form this season, and a hefty dose of criticism has rightly come their way for their league performances. However, their home form has seen them win six of their 14 Premier League fixtures at Old Trafford and they have also gone well in the FA Cup, beating Arsenal away on penalties and scraping past Leicester City to reach this stage.
They tend to do pretty well against the teams they ‘should’ beat, on home soil. They beat Ipswich Town with 10-men last time out, while they’ve also recorded victories over Everton, Leicester and Southampton in the last couple of months.
Listen, United aren’t hitting the heights that historically we have come to expect. But, they have been a great cup team in the last couple of years, and I think that will continue here. They have a big Europa League tie to come on Thursday and will want to head to Spain full of confidence.
They should be able to get the better of a Fulham outfit who were beaten 1-0 by United at Craven Cottage at the end of January and also lost 1-0 at Old Trafford earlier in the season.
BTTS
Now both games between these two have finished 1-0 to United as I have just mentioned, but things have been pretty chaotic in recent weeks for them. I just don’t trust Amorim’s side to keep a clean sheet, especially given they are on a run of five fixtures without a shut-out. That back three doesn’t look particularly solid, while Fulham have scored in four of their last five.
- BTTS has come in during 74% of Fulham's PL games - a league high
- Man Utd haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their last five games
Adama Traore is likely to cause issues while Rodrigo Muniz is looking to keep up his good form having netted the winner at Wolves last time out. Fulham sit top of the charts in the Premier League for BTTS, with 74 per cent of their fixtures ending with both teams on the scoresheet.
Under 39.5 booking points
A nice calm Sunday afternoon at Old Trafford is what I’m expecting here, so I’ll back under 39.5 booking points. That means we can allow up to and including three yellow cards in total and still be onto a winner.
- There was only one yellow card when these two met at Craven Cottage in January
This feels like a bit of a risk given Fulham sit 14th and Manchester United sit 18th in the PL Fair Play table, but there was only one yellow when these two teams met at Craven Cottage, and I don’t see this game carrying much needle. United were ill-disciplined against Ipswich and I expect that to change here, with a fairly tame encounter on the cards in my eyes. This takes our Bet Builder to 7/1.
