Norway vs England Bet Builder Tips: Haaland to help himself to another goal in Miami meeting

Norway and England both came through stern examinations in the last 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to set up a quarter-final tie at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on Saturday (5pm local, 10pm BST, ITV 1).
Below are my Norway vs England Bet Builder Tips, with two club teammates, featuring on opposite sides, both backed to play pivotal roles this weekend...

Player to Score (Sub Switch) - Erling Haaland (NOR)
Manchester City and Norway striker Erling Haaland has made a huge impact on his major tournament debut, scoring in all four appearances and bagging a brace in three of them to sit joint-second on the Golden Boot charts, with only Argentina's Lionel Messi (eight) ahead of him.
The 25-year-old scored twice in each of his two group-stage games, a 4-1 victory over Iraq and a 3-2 win against Senegal before he was rested for the Vikings' 4-1 defeat to France.
Stale Solbakken restored his main man to the starting XI for their round-of-32 tie with Ivory Coast, and it was Haaland who struck an 86th-minute winner to down the Elephants 2-1. The Citizens star stepped up again in the last 16, firing two goals to beat five-time champions Brazil 2-1.
The positive for England is that one of their centre backs, Ezri Konsa, has generally performed well against Haaland, with the former Borussia Dortmund forward only scoring once in five appearances against his club side, Aston Villa. Konsa's partner at the back, Marc Guehi, knows him well, too, having joined City in the winter transfer window, so the Three Lions are as equipped to deal with him as they can be, really.
However, none of that will matter much to Haaland, who backs himself to score against any defender or team. He's on a 14-game scoring streak for Norway, netting 27 times in that run, and who really doubts him making it 15 and 28, respectively, on Saturday? Not I, so this is an easy first selection.
Betfred's Sub Switch rolls your bet to the oncoming substitute, so you stay in the game, even when your player doesn’t.
Player 1+ Shots (Sub Switch) - Patrick Berg (NOR)
Haaland's international teammate, Patrick Berg, was a second-half substitute for Norway's first two games of the tournament but has started and finished their last three, impressing in the middle of midfield.
The 28-year-old, who's averaging 2.7 shots per game in this season's Eliteserien for reigning Norwegian league champions Bodo/Glimt, has shot twice in North America, seeing an effort blocked against France and an attempt miss the target against Brazil.
Both of those shots came from outside the box, and eight of Mexico's attempts against England in the last 16 were from long range, and five of DR Congo's seven in the round of 32 were.
Panama took five shots from outside the box against England and Croatia six, too, scoring with one effort, so I can see Berg trying his luck at least once on Saturday.
Player 1+ Shots (Sub Switch) - Nico O'Reilly (ENG)
England left-back Nico O'Reilly has recorded at least one shot in all five of his World Cup appearances (four starts).
The 21-year-old shot twice in each of England's first two games, a 4-2 victory over Croatia and a goalless draw with Ghana, despite only coming on in the 66th minute against the latter.
O'Reilly then tried his luck once apiece in victories over Panama (2-0), DR Congo (2-1) and Mexico (3-2), with his attacking forays fast becoming a feature of his game.
The 2025/26 Premier League Young Player of the Season scored five times in the English top flight, averaging 1.2 shots per game, and scored both of Manchester City's goals in their 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final.
Player to Be Carded (Sub Switch) - Julian Ryerson (NOR)
Norway right-back Julian Ryerson has endured a stop-start tournament so far, beginning his country's first two games but coming off in the 13th minute of the second due to injury.
The 28-year-old missed the Vikings' next two matches before returning to start their last-16 win against Brazil, lasting until the 63rd minute.
Ryerson is likely to get the nod at right back again on Saturday in Miami Gardens, where he's likely to be severely tested by England's left winger, Anthony Gordon. The 25-year-old was fouled three times in his side's 0-0 stalemate with Ghana, who saw their right winger, Inaki Williams, booked for an unfair challenge on the new Barcelona signing, while he was taken down four times last time out against Mexico.
His direct opponent this weekend, Ryerson, has committed two fouls in two of his three World Cup appearances, and he was booked 10 times for Borussia Dortmund in 2025/26, twice in the UEFA Champions League and eight times in the Bundesliga.
