Team News

PSG pair Achraf Hakimi and Ibrahim Mbaye are in Sunday's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final with Morocco and Senegal, respectively, so they miss out again for PSG, while Matvey Safonov (hand), Lee Kang-in (thigh) and Quentin Ndjantou Mbitcha (hamstring) all sat out Monday's 1-0 Coupe de France defeat to local rivals Paris FC and are set for another watching brief on Friday.

Head coach Luis Enrique is expected to return to a more familiar starting XI against Lille, promoting the likes of Nuno Mendes and Ousmane Dembele, who both came on as second-half substitutes against Paris FC, from the bench, but influential midfielder Joao Neves has been ruled out with a muscle injury.

Lille duo Ousmane Traore (knee) and Marc-Aurele Caillard (elbow) are also sidelined with injuries, while Hamza Igamane is on international duty with Morocco.

PSG, who have won seven of their eight home league games this season, drawing the other, are 2/5 to collect all three points on Friday, implying a 71.4% probability of success, while Lille, who have won their last two away matches in Ligue 1, are 13/2, or a 13.3% chance, to secure their first victory at the Parc des Princes since a 1-0 win there in April 2021.

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Stade Pierre Mauroy last October, and another stalemate between the two this week can be backed at 18/5, while a repeat of that scoreline is offered at 9/1.

This is as good a chance as any to get behind Lille in the Double Chance market at the Parc des Princes, where they have lost on their last four visits.

Hakimi and Neves, two of PSG's most important players, are both unavailable for Friday's game, and a few of their squad players have been ruled out, too, while Les Parisiens have hardly convinced over the last nine matches in particular.

Luis Enrique's side have only won four of those contests in regulation time, and one of those was against fifth-tier outfit Fontenay in the Coupe de France, a competition they exited on Monday to Paris FC.

Lille have lost both of their matches so far this calendar year, but those two defeats came at home, and they've won their last three away games in France, two in Ligue 1, and one in the Coupe de France.

There was little to choose between the two teams in October as Ethan Mbappe cancelled out Mendes' opener, so I like the visitors in the Double Chance market here at 15/8.

Lille, meanwhile, have found the net at least once in 12 of their 17 Ligue 1 matches, and like PSG, both teams have scored in 41% of their contests.

Both sides have found the net in the last nine Ligue 1 meetings between PSG and Lille, and I see that run extending to a 10th on Friday.
