Team News

Paul Pogba, Kassoum Ouattara (both calf), Pape Cabral (muscle), Lukas Hradecky, Takumi Minamino, Mohammed Salisu (all knee) and Eric Dier (unspecified) are among the injury absentees for Monaco, who could also be without Ansu Fati (muscle).

Nantes don't appear to have any injury worries, but it remains to be seen whether Frederick Guilbert is fit enough to make his debut following his January arrival from Lecce.

Monaco vs Nantes Stats

  • Camara (MON) has drawn three yellow-card challenges across his last two league apps
  • Sissoko (NAN) was booked on his second app for the club
  • Cozza (NAN) was sent off in last season's corresponding fixture
  • MON have received five red cards in 25/26 Ligue 1

Player to Receive a Card - Ibrahima Sissoko (NAN) @ 2/1

Malian midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko was a serial offender for his previous French clubs, RC Strasbourg and Stade Brestois, receiving 44 yellow cards and two reds across seven full league seasons.

The 28-year-old left Ligue 1 for the Bundesliga at the start of the 2024/25 campaign and carried on his bad-boy antics in Germany, picking up 11 yellows and one red for VfL Bochum, who were relegated at the end of the season.

Injury limited Sissoko to six second-tier matches in the first half of 2025/26, but he was still shown three yellows before completing a mid-season switch to Nantes, for whom he was booked in his third appearance for the club against FC Lorient.

Today's Football Fixtures

Sissoko could be in the thick of the action on Friday with Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara averaging 2.8 fouls won per 90 minutes in Ligue 1 this season.

OGC Nice’s Sofiane Diop was booked for upending the Senegal international last Sunday, while Stade Rennes pair Breel Embolo and Lilian Brassier were both cautioned for taking Camara down the previous weekend.

Red Card Yes/No - Yes @ 4/1

Last season’s corresponding fixture saw Monaco run out 7-1 winners against Nantes, who saw their left-back, Nicolas Cozza, sent off in the eighth minute.

October’s reverse fixture was feisty, too, with 10 yellows produced in a 5-3 victory for Monaco.

Nantes have only received one red card in Ligue 1 this season, but there have been three dismissals against them in their last five games, one for Olympique Lyonnais last Saturday and two for Olympique Marseille on January 4.

Monaco, meanwhile, have been shown five red cards in Ligue 1 this season - only Lyon and AJ Auxerre (both six) have received more. Nine of their 21 league matches have seen a player dismissed, including five of their 11 at home.
