Lens vs PSG Prediction: 4/1 Vitinha to register eighth Ligue 1 assist of the season

Paris Saint-Germain can secure a fifth consecutive Ligue 1 title on Wednesday by avoiding defeat to closest rivals RC Lens at the second-placed side's Stade Bollaert-Delelis (20:00 BST, Ligue 1 Pass). Lens beat FC Nantes 1-0 last Friday, but back-to-back draws away to Stade Brestois 29 (1-1) and OGC Nice (3-3) have effectively ended their ended their title charge as they must overcome a six-point deficit and a significant goal differential in the last two rounds of fixtures.
Below are my Lens vs PSG predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of this potentially title-deciding contest.
Lens vs PSG Betting Tips
- Player Assists a Goal - Vitinha (PSG) Yes @ 4/1
- Both Teams To Score and Total Goals Over/Under +3.5 - Yes & Over 3.5 @ 11/8

Team News
Regis Gurtner (muscle) and Jonathan Gradit (thigh) are still out injured for Lens, while Saud Abdulhamid remains suspended, but midfield duo Adrien Thomasson and Mamadou Sangare, who were both banned for last Friday's 1-0 victory over Nantes, are available again.
There are question marks over the fitness of Allan Saint-Maximin and Florian Thauvin, who both missed out last Friday with knocks, so Rayan Fofana and Wesley Said could keep their attacking spots behind Odsonne Edouard, although Fofana was hooked at half-time for Florian Sotoca and could concede his place to the 35-year-old on Wednesday.
Lucas Chevalier, Achraf Hakimi (both thigh), Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho (both leg) and Warren Zaire-Emery (back) are unlikely to be risked at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis, with under three weeks until PSG's UEFA Champions League Final against Arsenal.
Quentin Ndjantou (muscle) is definitely out injured, but Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, all of whom started last Sunday's 1-0 victory over Stade Brestois on the bench, are likely to return to Luis Enrique's starting XI.
Lens vs PSG Predicted Lineups
- Lens: Risser; Ganiou, Baidoo, Sarr; Aguilar, Sangare, Thomasson, Udol; Said, Fofana; Edouard
- PSG: Safonov; Mayulu, Zabarnyi, Marquinhos, Hernandez; Neves, Vitinha, Fernandez; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia
Lens are 23/10 to claim a first win over PSG since January 2023, implying a 30.3% probability of success, with the visitors 19/20, or a 51.3% chance, and the draw offered at 3/1.
Kvaratskhelia to Score and Assist has been boosted from 9/1 to 11/1.
Lens vs PSG Stats
- Only two players have provided more Ligue 1 assists this season than PSG's Vitinha (seven)
- Vitinha set up both goals in PSG's 2-0 victory over LEN last September
- PSG (71 goals) & LEN (62) are the highest-scoring sides in Ligue 1 this season
Player Assists a Goal - Vitinha (PSG) Yes @ 4/1
Only two players, Lens midfielder Thomasson and Brest forward Ludovic Ajorque (both nine), have provided more Ligue 1 assists this season than PSG star Vitinha, who is creating 1.52 chances per 90, on average.
The 26-year-old hasn't registered a league assist since setting up Dembele's opening goal in a 3-0 victory over LOSC Lille on 16 January, but he's only made eight competition starts since, and the last of those saw him withdrawn in the 39th minute of a 2-1 home defeat to Olympique Lyonnais on 19 April.
Vitinha set up both of Bradley Barcola's goals in a 2-0 victory over Lens in September's reverse fixture, and with the likes of the Frenchman, his compatriots Doue and Dembele, as well as Kvaratskhelia, positioned ahead of him on Wednesday, he has several fearsome attackers to pick out at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.
The Portugal international was left on the bench for Les Parisiens' weekend win over Brest, but I think he'll start against Lens as Luis Enrique looks to keep his star men match-fit, and 4/1 for him to assist a goal is too good a price to turn down, in my opinion.

Both Teams To Score and Total Goals Over/Under +3.5 - Yes & Over 3.5 @ 11/8
I don't see any reason why we won't see an entertaining game on Wednesday, with plenty of goals to enjoy.
Yes, PSG can mathematically clinch the title by bunkering in for a 0-0 draw, but they're not conservative by nature, and besides, the trophy is effectively already secured because of their much superior goal difference.
Pierre Sage's Lens, meanwhile, are assured of a top-two finish, and there's no real pressure on them to win against the Champions League finalists, who are looking to be crowned European champions for the second season running.
Both sides triumphed 1-0 last time out in Ligue 1, while just two goals were scored, both by PSG, in September's reverse meeting, but for the aforementioned reasons, as well as the attacking talent in both camps, particularly the visitors', of course, I'm backing BTTS-Yes & Over 3.5 Total Goals at 11/8.
PSG are Ligue 1's highest-scoring team this season with 71 goals, followed by Lens (62), while they've each conceded 27 and 33 times, respectively.
