The domestic football season gets underway in earnest this Saturday afternoon and we’ve selected three games from the Goals Galore No Draw couple that we think has a chance of coming in. Remember this couple requires BTTS and there to be a winner and a treble pays out 20/1…

Goals Galore No Draw Tips – Saturday 5 August, 2023

  • Back BTTS/NO Draw in Altrincham vs Dagenham & Redbridge
  • Back BTTS/NO Draw in Barnet vs Hartlepool United
  • Back BTTS/NO Draw in St Johnstone vs Hearts
  • Treble Odds – 20/1

Always a tricky one to predict this market hence the big prices available for the treble and on the opening weekend too. I’ve decided to make my three selections based in large part on what happened last season. The National League was full of goals everywhere you looked and two of my picks come from there.

First up we have Altrincham vs Dagenham & Redbridge. In the 46 league games the home side played, no fewer than 150 goals were scored. For the visitors it was 133. Both are extremely high so if that continues then expect a high-scoring game. Both their games last season saw this bet come in as the home side won 3-2 and 4-1 in each. Going into the new campaign we don’t know how the summer moves will affect either side but this is as good a game as any to start with.

Barnet league games too were full of goals with 142 scored and they welcome in relegated Hartlepool. Fans of the North East side saw their goalkeeper reach down and pick the ball out of his net 79 times a year ago. They may have dropped down a level but I suspect question marks will remain about their defensive capabilities. They will want to show everyone they can bounce straight back up and the home side should be a legitimate promotion contender. Should lead to an open game.

The final selection comes from the SPL where in both their most recent games at McDiarmid Park, this bet would have landed. In all four of their previous four games at the venue, both teams have scored, so recent history suggests that these are pretty open encounters.
