Last week’s Saturday fourfold was held up by Stockport losing at Walsall and Everton’s failure to put away chance after chance at home to Fulham. This week we have a 27/1 fourfold (as of the time of writing) with three games from the Championship plus a trip down to League 2…

The Tractor Boys won for us a week ago and I’m going back to the well seven days later by picking them to travel to west London and beating QPR at Evens. I really like the look of Ipswich this season and think they’ll be there or thereabouts come crunch time with the playoffs a very realistic possibility. They currently sit top having won both their games and whilst their opponents this weekend did record a good 1-2 win at Cardiff last weekend, that opening day 0-4 scoreline at home to Watford simply cannot be ignored. These two teams are going to be fighting very different battles come the spring and I like the visitors to make it three wins from three.

Sunderland have only six fewer points than Ipswich so far this season. Sadly for them, only six points have been up for grabs. They lost against Ipswich in a game they really should have got something out of and followed that up by losing 2-1 at Deepdale, conceding from both attempts on targets the home side mustered. So far they’ve let in four goals from just six SoT, which is a dismal ratio. That has to correct itself and what better way to do that than to beat a Rotherham side expected to be fighting relegation. This is the perfect opportunity for the Mackems to get back on track.

The biggest price of this fourfold comes from the Liberty Stadium, where I’m a bit perplexed as to why Coventry are such a decent price to win on the road. It is early days in the season but a comprehensive 3-0 win over an albeit depleted Middlesbrough side last week shows that Cov are going to be pretty decent. They were awfully unlucky not to come away from the King Power with anything on opening weekend as well. As for the Swans, they drew with Birmingham before being seemingly crushed at West Brom, being 3-0 down just after the hour mark. before mounting a comeback that saw them very nearly take a point. I’m not sure what to make of the home side yet but I do think the visitors are decent. I think 21/10 is a big price for the away win.

Lastly down to League 2 where for the second week running I’m backing against Walsall. It did not work out for me well last week but this time around they aren’t as the Bescot and instead travel to the Moonflake (or Gresty Road as it should be called) where the home side put four past Newport County on Tuesday night. Lee Bell’s side are yet to be beaten in the league and have scored at least twice in every game they’ve played (and indeed conceded twice). Plenty of goals here and I like the home side to score more than the visitors.
