Brazil vs haiti bet builder

Five-time winners Brazil have a point to prove in their World Cup Group C clash with Haiti in Philadelphia on Friday having dropped points in their opening fixture against Morocco (8:30pm local, 1:30am Saturday BST, live on ITV).

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have the weight of expectation on them, and plenty will be backing the Selecao to run up a big score against a nation which has lost 100% of its World Cup finals fixtures. My Brazil vs Haiti Bet Builder tips combine four picks and come out at a tasty 9.27/1.

Brazil vs Haiti Odds

Home Team Over 3.5 Total Goals

This is not the Brazil of Pele and Garrincha. Nor is it Ronaldo and Ronaldinho’s era. And, looking down the squad list, I see no Zico or Socrates.

But while this is not a vintage Brazilian group, don’t let anyone tell you that this will be a particularly competitive fixture.

Brazil have won five World Cups, while Haiti have played just four games in total at the finals. This is exactly the kind of game that wouldn’t exist in a more moderately tournament of 32 nations.

If Brazil don’t score four or more here, nobody can truly take them seriously as a potential challenger, particularly given Haiti have already lost to a hugely-unconvincingly Scotland side in their opener.

Player to Score (Sub Switch): Vinicius Junior

It was Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior who bailed Brazil out after they fell behind to Morocco on matchday one, and the 25-year-old megastar has to be expected to play a big part in Philly on Friday.

He might not have tallied at the same rate for his country (10 in 50) as he has for Los Blancos (128 in 376), but he’s not come across many Haitis until now.

The stage is set for him, and with the Sub Switch offer Betfred has, we get the benefit of the bet continuing if he’s hauled off early after a scoreless showing.

Player 3+ Shots on Target (Sub Switch): Vinicius Junior

On the same train of thought, the same man should have enough in his locker to find those little pockets of space that can give you a look-in more often against minnow nations.

I like the addition of this one. He may have only fired in one shot against Morocco, but there is far more success to be found in this fixture.

Player 2+ Shots on Target (Sub Switch): Matheus Cunha

There’s every chance Ancelotti will make some changes in the final third, but I’d be willing to get behind Cunha in this bet even if he only got the last half-hour.

The Manchester United forward loves to make the most of even the slightest window of space in the final third, so Haiti should provide a bit of a field day in that respect. In 25 of his 33 appearances for the Red Devils last season he sent in at least two shots.
