Coventry vs Wrexham Prediction: Champions to put on a show

Coventry City are all set for a party on Sunday, having secured the Championship title with a 5-1 win over Portsmouth in midweek. They host a Wrexham outfit (12:00 BST, ITV1) that are competing for that final play-off spot and winning both of their last two games may well be enough.

Team News
Frank Lampard went back to his tried and tested 4-2-3-1 system in the win over Portsmouth and it will be interesting to see how strong he goes for the final two games of the season. You’d expect it to be full strength here given Wrexham are fighting for something, with the likes of Ben Wilson, Jamie Allen and Jake Bidwell hoping for starts on the final day.
Tatsuhiro Sakamoto remains out injured, so Romain Esse should start on the right. Liam Kitching and Bobby Thomas should keep their spots at the heart of the defence.
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson may just tinker with the side that beat Oxford away in midweek. Kieffer Moore has come off the bench in the last two games and may start if they require more of a target man at the CBS Arena.
Josh Windass scored and will get another start, while Dom Hyam and Callum Doyle will play against their former club. Former Coventry captain Ben Sheaf remains absent through injury.

Over 2.5 goals is 8/11, BTTS is 8/13 and Haji Wright is favourite to score first at 9/2.

Coventry to win and BTTS @ 11/4
There’s several ways to assess this game but what we can expect is a party atmosphere at the CBS Arena. The staff and players were partying on Tuesday night but they had also celebrated on Friday after securing promotion against Blackburn, and they looked far more relaxed against Pompey.
There should be goals in this game as a result. Wrexham have to better Hull’s results for the rest of the season and goal difference may come into play, so I think they will find the net, but ultimately lose this game. The champions are the best team in the division and their home form is imperious, so they won’t want to end on a loss - especially on the day that they are awarded the Championship trophy.

Ephron Mason-Clark to score anytime @ 13/5
Coventry’s left winger has been in sparkling form this season and notched twice against Portsmouth to take his tally to the season to nine. He’s been so reliable this term and will be desperate to get to double figures in terms of goals.
With goals coming from everywhere in this Coventry team sometimes a goalscorer can be difficult to nail down - but EMC is in flying form and a good price to find the net.
