Olympiakos beat Kairat 1-0 in Kazakhstan last time out in the competition, but that was their first European win of the season, with two draws and three losses from their first five games.

In fairness to Jose Luis Mendilibar's side, their three defeats came against elite-level opposition, away to Arsenal (2-0) and FC Barcelona (6-1), and at home to Real Madrid (3-4). Their other two matches, at home to Pafos (0-0) and PSV (1-1), both ended in a stalemate.

Leverkusen have drawn half (three) of their six league-phase games this season, the first coming away to Copenhagen (2-2), while numbers two and three were at home against PSV (1-1) and Newcastle (2-2).

Kasper Hjulmand's charges have won their last two away contests in the competition against Benfica (0-1) and Man City (0-2), but they've begun 2026 with back-to-back Bundesliga defeats at home to Stuttgart (1-4) and away to Hoffenheim (1-0).
