Monaco vs PSG Prediction: Card for Camara in all-Ligue 1 UCL affair

One of the four Uefa Champions League knockout phase ties on Tuesday sees Ligue 1 rivals AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain face off at the former's Stade Louis II (20:00 GMT, TNT Sports 1). The second leg takes place at the Parc des Princes next Wednesday, February 25.
Below are my Monaco vs PSG predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Paul Pogba, Kassoum Ouattara (both calf), Pape Cabral (muscle), Lukas Hradecky, Takumi Minamino, Mohammed Salisu (all knee), Christian Mawissa (hamstring) and Eric Dier (unspecified) are likely all out injured for Monaco.
Meanwhile, head coach Sebastien Pocognoli is sweating on the fitness of Lamine Camara and Maghnes Akliouche, both of whom were substituted in last Friday's 3-1 victory over FC Nantes in Ligue 1.
As for Luis Enrique's PSG, Fabian Ruiz (knee), Senny Mayulu (calf) and Quentin Ndjantou (muscle) are expected to miss out again.
Monaco vs PSG Predicted Lineups

- PSG: Safonov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Neves; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia
Monaco, who beat PSG 1-0 at home in Ligue 1 last November thanks to a 68th-minute strike from Minamino, are 9/2, or an 18.2% chance, to claim another victory over the reigning European and French champions, while the visitors are 4/7 to take a lead back to Paris, implying a 63.6% probability of success.
The draw is offered at 7/2, both teams to score at 4/7, and over 3.5 total goals at 5/4.
Betfred's Price Boosts include PSG to Win, PSG Most Corners & Monaco Most Cards at 7/2 (was 3/1).
Monaco vs PSG Stats
- Dembele (PSG) has scored seven goals in as many starts this calendar year
- Dembele has struck seven times across nine apps v MON
- Camara (MON) has been booked in each of his two club starts v PSG
Anytime Goalscorer - Ousmane Dembele (PSG) @ 1/1
It's been a stop-start season for the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele, who has suffered injury issues, but he's been in impressive goalscoring form this calendar year, netting seven times in as many starts.
Three of his goals came last week, with his double helping to down Olympique Marseille 5-0 at the Parc des Princes before he threatened a comeback with Les Parisiens' only strike in a 3-1 defeat to Stade Rennais at Roazhon Park.
The 28-year-old has a terrific goalscoring record against Monaco, scoring seven times across nine appearances, including a couple of Ligue 1 braces last season.
Dembele has also scored in the Champions League against Monaco, netting for Borussia Dortmund in their quarter-final tie during the 2016/17 campaign.

Player to Receive a Card - Lamine Camara (MON) @ 16/5
Camara's participation on Tuesday isn't certain, but if he does pass a fitness test, he looks like great value in the Player to Receive a Card market.
The 22-year-old received 12 yellows and one red in his debut campaign for Monaco, and this season, his second one for the club, he has been booked five times. Three of those cautions have come in 13 Ligue 1 appearances, while the other two have been awarded in just four Champions League matches.
Camara has committed 15 fouls in the French top flight this season, averaging 1.4 per 90 minutes, and nine fouls in Europe, averaging 2.4 per 90.
The Senegal international has started twice against PSG as a Monaco player, both at the Stade Louis II, and on each occasion, he was booked.
With so much at stake on Tuesday, he's an obvious candidate to earn a card, in my opinion, as long as he plays.
