Sunday 19th April 2026, 7:30

Italy, France and Portugal are on the itinerary for our 3-3-3 column this week as our European Accumulator Tipster picks out three bets across three of Europe's top leagues to put together his weekly treble at 3/1 or longer.

He likes goals in Pisa, a PSG win and Porto to beat Tondela but the game won't be crazy. Check out why and bet on this treble with Betfred today...

Sunday Football Tips

  • Pisa v Genoa - Back over 2.5 goals @ 11/8
  • PSG v Lyon - Back PSG to win @ 1/4
  • Porto v Tondela - Back Porto to win and under 4.5 goals @ 4/9
  • Treble Odds @ 3.28/1

Last year, the 3-3-3 column returned a profit of 17 points, which means that if you’d backed every treble recommended over the course of the season for level £10 stakes, you’d be up by £170. That’s one of the better returns you’ll see in the tipping business and speaking of returns, Jamie Pacheco is returning again this year to do try to do it all over again, and maybe even improve on it.

Welcome to the 3-3-3 betting column. Why is it called that? Glad you asked.  It’s not a formation to play when you’ve had a man sent off but rather:

3- The number of different selections making up the acca.

3- The number of different (non-English) European Leagues the selections are taken from every week.

3- The minimum odds (3/1) or 4.0 if you prefer, that the acca will come to it every week.

And it really is as simple as that. The selections can be from any betting markets, as long as they meet the criteria set out above.  And to round things off, every week I’ll leave you with a cool (or at least I think so) bit of trivia involving one of the teams featured in the acca. Simples...

2025-26 season Current P and L: +22.5 pts

2024-25 season’s P and L: + 16.9

Bad luck or bad judgement?

The first two came in last week at 4/5 and 11/8. Quite comfortably, really.

So it was left to the 1/6 shot on over 1.5 goals in Estrela de Amadora v Sporting Lisbon to complete 3-3 3 and add yet another winner to the column. Except it didn’t. Sporting crawled to a 1-0 win in a nervy, low-quality game, despite its importance to their league title credentials. They inevitably had one eye on their midweek tie against Arsenal but either way, they got the result they wanted.  We didn’t.

In truth, I could have gone with a 1/100 shot (not that it would have been a guaranteed winner, either!) because the first two selections already came to odds of greater than 3/1. But I didn’t.

After all, Sporting had a 93% strike rate for over 1.5 goals matches on the road this season before that game. In the process, it became only the second time in 15 away games this season that there weren’t two goals or more in the game. A huge shame but a reminder there are no certainties in this game.

So it’s 22.5 points profit for the season as things stand and even more reason to try even harder this week.

  • Pisa v Genoa
  • Sunday 19th April 17:00
  • Back over 2.5 goals @ 11/8

This is our big-priced selection of the week.

At first glance, one would think it’s madness to be backing something that has only happened 25% of the time this season; over 2.5 goals in a Pisa home game. Maybe, but this is a team that’s rock bottom, has little to no chance of staying up, and is incredibly demoralized. Are they really going to be fighting for every last ball when they know deep down they’ll be in Serie B next season?

This is also a team that has conceded 4, 5, and 3 goals in the last three away days.  Sure, this game isn’t away for Pisa, it’s at home. But despite that 25% strike rate for overs on home soil, things have been on the up with four of their last seven going ‘overs’ when at home.

As for Genoa, they have a respectable 53% away record for overs and have seen six of their last seven at home going ‘overs’, so their matches have tended to have goals in them.

Lastly, there’s always the possibility that Pisa thinks they may just as well go for it and play out a 2-2 thriller. Not that likely, but there’s enough evidence here to suggest this is a selection worth going with at that price.

  • PSG v Lyon
  • Sunday, April 19, 19:45
  • Back PSG to win @ 1/4

A big 11/8 shot in the last game means we can go with shorter-priced selections in the other two, so a PSG home win it is.

They’ll be feeling good about life after knocking out Liverpool in the CL and for a couple of weeks at least, can focus on wrapping up Ligue 1.

They’re top and playing Lyon, who are fifth and 13 points behind them with PSG also having two games in hand on them.

PSG beat them 3-1 and 4-1 in their last two home games, so hopefully this should be pretty straightforward.

  • Porto v Tondela
  • Sunday 19th April 20:30
  • Porto to win and under 4.5 goals

A similar bet to this one involving a Porto win at home cost us dearly a couple of weeks ago.

We were on for a win to complete the treble when Porto were 2-1 up on a ‘Porto to win and under 3.5 goals’ bet when they conceded in the 8th minute of injury time to make it 2-2, and that was that. But we don’t hold grudges here at 3-3-3.

Porto went out of Europe in midweek, and their level has dropped quite a bit in recent weeks.

But Tondela are second from bottom, Porto are out of Europe and focusing solely on the league at the moment, and a draw in Sporting v Benfica (or even a Benfica win) would mean three points for them here would put them in an excellent position to win the league.

Not a single Porto league game all season at home has had five or more goals in it, so assuming Porto win, it’s unlikely to be an over 4.5 goals match.

Jamie’s Fun Fact

All six of the last games between PSG and Lyon have seen both teams score.  They’ve been pretty entertaining games, so it might be worth tuning into this one. They ended 2-3, 2-3, 3-1, 1-2, 4-1 and 1-4.
