Celtic (H) to beat Hearts (12:30pm) @ 4/7
It just feels like it might be meant to be for Celtic again this season. They have kept themselves in the title race on the final day, and their last-minute penalty against Motherwell in midweek means they just need to beat Hearts on the final day to be crowned champions.
This is a fascinating battle between the top two, and Hearts are a top team. But, they were standing on the pitch when Celtic scored on Wednesday night, and it was like a balloon had popped. Celtic have won seven in a row, Hearts have won four of their last five - and it all comes down to this at Celtic Park. I’m backing the hosts.
Chelsea Women to beat Manchester United Women (1pm) @ 1/2
The final round of fixtures in the WSL also takes place this Saturday, with Manchester City already confirmed as champions. Chelsea have ended the season strongly and will want to wrap up second place, as they sit a point ahead of Arsenal - and face Manchester United.
Sonia Bompastor will hope to take victory against a United side that have lost their way slightly at the end of the season, with just one win in their last five. At home, I’m expecting another Chelsea win, as they target success next season in the league.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Heidenheim (H) to beat Mainz (2.30pm) @ 1/1
The final day of the Bundesliga also occurs on Saturday, and Heidenheim are in desperate need of a positive result - given they occupy the final relegation spot in 17th. Avoiding defeat is vital then, and they have shown shoots of promise recently with three wins in their last five games.
That’s given them a real chance at survival and they are level on points with Wolfsburg heading into the final day. Mainz look like beatable opponents having only won one of their last six, and I’ll back the hosts to get a vital three points.
Borussia Dortmund (A) to beat Werder Bremen (2.30pm) @ 19/20
Borussia Dortmund have finished second again in the Bundesliga, and it is difficult to see how they can overhaul this stunning Bayern Munich outfit next term. They will want to end on a high, and their talented squad should be able to beat Werder Bremen on the road.
Werder have not had a good season, and sit 15th, losing three of their last five. They are safe, but they will have to improve if they are to have more success next term. Dortmund should be able to find the win.
Man City to beat Chelsea (3pm) @ 4/5
The FA Cup final - and it looks to have taken on more importance for Manchester City, with the Premier League slipping away from them. I think they are a good price to beat Chelsea in the cup final, given what we have seen from them the Blues in recent months.
They have only won two games in their last 11, and those two wins came over Port Vale and Leeds United in this very competition. City should be far too strong for Chelsea at Wembley, and the domestic cup double awaits.
