Premier League and Championship clubs are taking a break, but the action continues in the National League with six fixtures completing a busy midweek schedule.

I've put together a five-match accumulator which would pay out at 25/1 if successful; check out my Wednesday Football Accumulator Tips below.

Norwich (H) to beat Ipswich (12:30) @ 2/1

Some place to start, hey? The East Anglian derby takes place this Saturday live on Sky Sports Main Event and I think the home fans will be feeling pretty confident given what they’ve seen from their side in recent months.

Philippe Clement has transformed them from relegation fodder to play-off outsiders, and they’ve picked up as many points as Ipswich have (49) since he was appointed. The Tractor Boys ended 16 years of derby pain back in October, but that was Liam Manning - who was a complete disaster at Carrow Road.

Back on home soil, I think motivation will be high to halt second-place Ipswich in their tracks, and so I’ll back the hosts to win at a big price this Saturday lunchtime.

Plymouth (H) to beat Exeter (12:30) @ 4/7

Another derby - this time from League 1. Plymouth Argyle’s turnaround this season under Tom Cleverley has been one of the stories of the year, and the club deserve huge credit for sticking with the former Watford man.

A winning run in 2026 has taken them just two points off the play-offs, and a recent 3-0 away win at Barnsley only boosted their chances of promotion. Meanwhile, Exeter currently occupy the final spot in the relegation zone, with a win against Doncaster ending a 15-game run without a victory. The home side should win this one.

Southampton (H) to beat Derby (15:00) @ 4/5

Southampton are absolutely flying. Sixteen games unbeaten under Tonda Eckert has taken the Saints to an FA Cup semi-final, and into the top six of the Championship - something that seemed unfeasible six weeks ago. Now even the top two is coming into view, with just six points separating Southampton and Ipswich.

Derby are also chasing the play-offs and will provide a tough test, but Saints seem unstoppable right now. This is the side we expected to see under Will Still in August. It’s taken some time for them to click into gear, but their Premier League quality is now shining through. Home win.

Oxford (H) to beat Watford (15:00) @ 11/8

Oxford have everything to play for in their bid to avoid the drop, whereas Watford have nothing to play for and I do think that is a key factor to consider at this stage of the season. Oxford will be frustrated they couldn’t hold on to all three points against 10-man Portsmouth, but they have been racking up the points lately.

Matt Bloomfield has overseen just one defeat in their last seven that has given them a shot at survival and while Watford have won just one of their last six under Ed Still. I’ll back the hosts again.

Middlesbrough (H) to beat Portsmouth (15:00) @ 8/15

A risky one, but Boro’s performances lately have been decent, even if the results haven’t gone their way. Five games without a win has seen second spot slip from their grasp, but Portsmouth should prove to be beatable.

Pompey are in a relegation dogfight and they haven’t won a game in their last eight. Despite rescuing a draw against Oxford - I worry for John Mousinho’s side and therefore will - perhaps against my better judgement, back Boro for the three points.
