Football Accumulator Tips: Five-fold featuring World Cup and further afield

Sadly there are no longer four-match World Cup nights to savour in front of the box and a large pot of coffee/can of energy drink. Which means that for our acca, we have to look deeper than FIFA’s four-yearly showpiece.
There are picks from today’s World Cup action, of course, but join us as we enhance our price with a few deep cuts. These are the Tuesday Football Accumulator tips.

Argentina to beat Egypt @ 4/11
‘Messi vs Salah’ is the strapline as the world’s media anticipate what could be the last dance for one of this generation’s greats. But the holders Argentina seem to have a deeper well of talent beyond their talisman than the African side. I fancy La Albiceleste to roll on towards a second consecutive semi-final.
Colombia to beat Switzerland @ 5/4
This market is tight for this one and with good reason. Switzerland have warmed to the task after a slow start, with a thumping 4-1 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina the highlight. Colombia held their nerve to take a point off Portugal in the group and have won the rest of their outings.
Expect Colombia to outlast Cristiano Ronaldo’s men and reach a quarter-final stage that will go ahead without CR7’s boys.
Celtic to beat Shelbourne FC @ 2/9
Leaving the glitz and glamour behind, let’s join Scotland’s uber-champions Celtic as they travel to Tolka Park. Shelbourne are currently fifth in the League of Ireland, but will press pause to welcome an illustrious foe.
This is Celtic’s maiden pre-season friendly ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. A bit of ring rust can be exploited by the active home side, but I expect The Bhoys to find a way.
Bristol Rovers to beat Weston-super-Mare @ 4/9
A short trip for The Gas, as they get their pre-season preparations underway against the National League South side.
The hosts reached the play-offs last season, falling short against Hornchurch in the semis. Former Leeds boss Steve Evans steered Rovers to 14th in League 2, having taken over in December with the team sitting in 23rd place.
An unbeaten nine-game run to close the season showed what Rovers are capable of. The momentum will continue against non-league opposition.
Levski Sofia to beat FK Borac Banja Luca @ 11/10
Bulgarian champions Levski Sofia have already racked up some mammoth pre-season results. Akademik Svishtov were swept aside 4-0, Etar ate a 6-0 while Radnik Surlica suffered a 5-0 defeat.
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s league champions Borac will be a sterner test and I don’t expect a rout. But Levski are well-equipped for a win in this Champions League qualifier.
