Football Accumulator Tips: 20/1 shout for midweek five-fold

We’ve got plenty of football action coming our way on Wednesday, with two more Champions League quarter-finals headlining the bill.

Real Betis (A) to beat Braga (17:45) @ 9/5

The first leg of our Wednesday five-fold begins in the Europa League as Braga host Real Betis in the first leg of their quarter-final. Betis currently sit fifth in La Liga and are winless in their last six in the league, but the Europa League has seen them perform well - as they picked up 17 points in the group phase and then hammered Panathinaikos 4-1 on aggregate to reach the last eight. 

Braga will provide an interesting test as they sit fourth in the Primeira Liga, but they needed to stage a comeback to beat Ferencvaros 4-2 on aggregate to reach this stage, and lost their last home game 2-0 to Porto. I fancy the Spaniards in this one, and think they are a big price to secure a win in the first leg. 

Galatasaray (A) to beat Goztepe (18:00) @ 4/6

A wobble from Turkish Super Lig leaguers Galatasaray at the weekend has allowed Fenerbahce and the side that beat them, Trabzonspor, to move within a point of them in what is turning out to be a pulsating title race.

They have a chance to bolster that lead with a game in hand on Wednesday night, away at fifth-placed Goztepe. The hosts have enjoyed a fantastic season but they’ve dropped off recently, winning just one of their last seven. Gala should be able to get back on track in midweek with three points. 

Today's Football Fixtures

Al Ittihad (H) to beat Neom @ (19:00) @ 8/13

Over to Saudi Arabia now, and Al Ittihad will fancy their chances of landing a win over Neom, given they sit two places above them in the league table. The sixth-placed side have been hit and miss lately in terms of form, but with Fabinho, Steven Bergwijn and Youssef En-Nesyri in their ranks - they should be too strong for a Neom outfit containing Said Benrahma and Alexandre Lacazette.

PSG (H) to beat Liverpool (20:00) @ 8/11

The two big games on Wednesday night come from the Champions League, and I fancy two home wins to get us going. PSG should be able to wipe the floor with a Liverpool side that looked completely out of sorts as they were beaten 4-0 by Manchester City in the FA Cup.

There is no doubt that the reigning European champions are favourites to progress from this tie, and it would take something special for this version of Liverpool to cause a Champions League upset. Arne Slot just hasn’t been able to take his side to the heights we saw last term, while Luis Enrique’s men look to be hitting form at the perfect time. Home win. 

Barcelona (H) to beat Atletico Madrid (20:00) @ 8/15

These two have had quite the go at each other already this season. Barca just beat Atletico 2-1 in La Liga on Saturday, while in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, they lost 4-3 on aggregate having almost staged a remarkable second-leg comeback.

In December, Barca won 3-1 at home, meaning this quarter-final will be their fifth and sixth meetings of a remarkable campaign. The hosts sit seven points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga and have only lost one of the four meetings with Atleti so far. Given what we saw from them in the home game against Newcastle United in the last round, I think they are a fairly safe bet.
