Vitalii Mykolenko (Arsenal vs Everton, Sat 17:30) @ 4/1

Everton left-back Vitalii Mykolenko has endured some tough games against Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka since arriving in the Premier League in January 2022.

The 26-year-old has been booked twice against the Gunners, firstly in the Toffees’ 1-0 victory at Goodison Park in February 2023, and most recently in a 1-0 defeat at Hill Dickinson Stadium last December.

His first booking against the north London side was as a result of a foul on Saka, while his latest was for remonstrating with the referee, who had awarded Mikel Arteta’s men a spot-kick for a handball by Jake O’Brien.

Football Odds

Mykolenko is averaging 0.9 fouls per 90 in this season’s Premier League, while Saka is averaging 2.3 fouls won per 90.

The Ukraine international hasn’t been carded since his yellow in Everton’s 2-1 win at Fulham on February 7, but I think booking number six could be around the corner as he prepares to tussle with the England star.

Antoine Semenyo (West Ham United vs Manchester City, Sat 20:00) @ 4/1

Antoine Semenyo has enjoyed a terrific start to life at Manchester City, scoring five goals in eight Premier League appearances since joining from AFC Bournemouth in January.

The 26-year-old is yet to be booked, too, but he has committed 10 league fouls for the Citizens, and his per 90 average for the season, including his 20 games with the Cherries, stands at 1.8.

The fact that Semenyo is yet to be booked in 14 appearances for City across all competitions, and that he now plays for a side who dominate the possession statistics in most games, probably goes a long way to justifying his 4/1 price to receive a card on Saturday.

Premier League Odds

However, his foul numbers, and previous yellow card season tallies, suggest it won’t be long before he is cautioned again.

The Ghana international was shown six and nine yellows, respectively, in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 Premier League campaigns, and received six in 20 for Bournemouth this season before making the move up to Manchester.

Dan Ballard (Sunderland vs Brighton & Hove Albion, Sat 15:00) @ 5/2

Sunderland defender Dan Ballard, who is averaging 1.2 fouls per 90 in the Premier League this season, has received four yellow cards across all competitions, three of which have been awarded in England's top flight.

The 26-year-old last went into the book during the Black Cats' 3-1 loss at West Ham United on January 24, while he was cautioned in the reverse fixture with Brighton & Hove Albion, a goalless draw at the Amex Stadium on December 20.

Today's Football Fixtures

Ballard was booked on the South Coast for a foul on Seagulls striker Charalampos Kostoulas, who's unlikely to feature this weekend due to fitness concerns.

However, one of his other two fouls was committed against Georginio Rutter, who was upended three times in that game and is averaging 1.8 fouls won per 90.

The Frenchman led the line in Brighton's 1-0 loss to Arsenal on March 4 and could start up top again at the Stadium of Light this Saturday, making Ballard a prime candidate in the Player to Receive a Card market.
