Football Bet of the Day: Goals the order of the day in Oslo on Sunday

As we take a breather from the FIFA World Cup ahead of the final week of the tournament, there's action taking place in Scandinavia on Sunday if you're still looking for your football fix.
In Norway, Bodo/Glimt are in action as they travel to Oslo to face strugglers KFUM (2:30pm local time/1:30pm BST). It's from this clash that I've picked out my Football Bet of the Day.
Football Bet of the Day - 12 July 2026
- Total Goals - Over 3.5 @ 6/5
*Odds correct as of the time of publication
Bodo/Glimt are third in the Eliteserien table, while their opponents are 10 places below them. Betfred is leaning towards an away victory with Bodo/Glimt 4/9 to come out on top.
KFUM are 4/1 to prevail on home turf but they've managed just three victories from 11 league matches this term.
The hosts have earned five draws though, with the stalemate here marketed at 10/3.
Each of Bodo/Glimt's past three competitive outings have seen both teams find the net, and BTTS - Yes is available here at 4/7.
My Bet of the Day is sticking with the goal theme but I'm more inclined to look at the thresholds of the Total Goals market. I know Bodo/Glimt are missing several key players due to the World Cup, but they still have some talented players at their disposal.
Superlaget's fringe stars will see this as an opportunity to impress boss Kjetil Knutsen while some of the big-hitters are away. This match against a struggling KFUM outfit gives them a chance to try and stake a claim on a starting spot in the side.
I think with several players away at the World Cup, Betfred is not expecting Glimt to be as effective in front of goal.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Over 3.5 Goals has struck in 5 of Bodo/Glimt's past 6 competitive fixtures, including each of the last 3
- Both teams had a friendly against Molde last month and the two games produced over 4 goals
But as I mentioned earlier, they're facing a team who have won just three from 11 this campaign. With Over 3.5 Goals valued at 6/5 for Sunday's clash, I think this is a bet that can offer some decent value to punters.
This has been a winning selection in five of Bodo/Glimt's previous six competitive outings, including each of their last three. Their latest appearance was a friendly against Molde on 28 June and they won that contest 4-1, suggesting that they will cope without their World Cup stars just fine.
A week prior, KFUM faced the same opponent but they suffered a 5-1 defeat. I believe there are going to be goals on offer in Oslo and I would say the bulk of them should come from Bodo/Glimt.
The visitors are an 11/8 bet to score Over 2.5 Goals themselves, but I think I would like the insurance of KFUM being able to play a part in this punt.
