England to beat Norway @ 5/6

It’s Harry Kane versus Erling Haaland as England lock horns with Norway for a place in the World Cup semi-final and it is the Three Lions sharp-shooter who can come out on top.

England have not been at their best throughout the tournament but they overcame extreme adversity to defeat co-hosts Mexico 3-2 at an atmospheric Azteca Stadium in the round of 16.

Mexico had not conceded a goal before suffering defeat to England while they had home advantage and the Three Lions were also down to ten men following Jarell Quansah’s 54th-minute red card.

But England defended courageously and they should find things more open against Norway, who have conceded nine goals in five tournament appearances.

Galway United to beat Sligo Rovers@ 8/13

Sligo Rovers are rooted to the foot of the League of Ireland table, having taken only 23 points from 20 games and they are finding goals hard to come by.

Sligo head to Pearse Stadium having picked up only one point from their last five outings and they have been beaten 4-0 at Waterford and 2-0 at St Patrick's Athletic in their last two away games.

Galway have already beaten Sligo Rovers twice this season and they should be able to repeat the feat.

Football Odds

BK Hacken to beat Orgryte IS @ 1/2

After the opening 11 games, BK Hacken sit third in Sweden’s Allsvenskan and they should have too much quality for rock-bottom Orgryte IS.

Hacken suffered their first defeat of the season against Djurgarden last time out but they can hit back as their hosts have lost seven of their 11 outings and leaked 28 goals along the way.

Tromso to beat Valerenga @ 8/11

Tromso have made a fine start to the season in Norway’s Eliteserien, sitting second with 25 points from their 13 outings, albeit having played a couple of fixtures more than those around them.

However, they have picked up 17 points from eight home games, losing only once, and visitors Valerenga have been beaten three times in just five road matches.

Dundee to beat Airdrieonians @ 1/2

Scottish Premiership outfit Dundee can make a winning start in the League Cup against Airdrieonians, who were relegated from the Scottish Championship last season.

Two divisions will separate the sides and that gulf in class should be evident at Dens Park, where Dundee won their final three top-flight matches last term against St Mirren, Livingston and Aberdeen.
