Sunday Greyhound Tips: Let’s pop up to Towcester

Our greyhounds guru Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle on X) has given Towcester the once-over today and come up with three fancies on Sunday afternoon's card.

The Northamptonshire venue stages some of the mightiest contests in the sport and is well worth a visit. If you're playing, enjoy, and have fun.

1 pt 15:13 Towcester – Arthur Minute (T1) @ SP

Superb action at Towcester this afternoon with twelve open races taking place at the Northamptonshire venue. At 15:13 in the Orchestrate Stayers Open the Patrick Godfrey-trained railer ARTHUR MINUTE appeals from T1.

The Swindon raider has mixed it in decent company in recent months around Oxford, Dunstall Park, Monmore and Romford. Today, on her return to the London Road venue, Towcester, Arthur Minute looks well-drawn to hold her pitch into the corner.

If that happens, she can lead round and make all. If you go back through her card, there's a quick-away-made-all success in late August that reads very well.

On that occasion, Arthur Minute led round following a 16.06 sectional and went onto clock 43.43; a repeat of that would see the July 2023 daughter of Coolavanny Hoffa take this race.

1 pt 15:32 Towcester – Bogger Cash (T1) @ SP

 The second Orchestrate Stayers open race at 15:32 can go to Yarmouth raider BOGGER CASH in T1.

Well-drawn with three middle seeds and two wide seeds on his outside the Mark Newberry-trained railer looks plotted up to turn with the pace and if that happens, he can rail inside his rivals and lead off the second bend.

Bogger Cash has only run three times in recent months. Back in early September he had a spell off the track lame, he returned to action a few weeks later but was then off with the same niggle in October and early November.

In recent weeks over the 462m trip at Yarmouth and 661m distance at Doncaster Bogger Cash has moved well; and those runs would have blown away the cobwebs. He should be spot on now, and ready to win.

Romeo Aragon (T2) is a consistent course and distance performer and rates as a danger. Givemethemoney who runs from T5, is an interesting runner. The Heather Dimmock-trained wide seed is lightly raced and open to improvement; market support should be noted.

1 pt 17:24 Towcester – Romeo Alliance (T4) @ SP

The BGBF British Bred Derby heats take centre stage from 16:09 with six heats taking place over the four-bend 500-metre trip at Towcester.

Notable runners include recent East Anglian Derby and Steel City Cup winner Romeo Steel, who runs from T4 at 16:28. The one that catches the eye as a betting proposition is the Patrick Janssens-trained railer ROMEO ALLIANCE, who lines up from T4 in heat five at 17:24.

Romeo Alliance won the JR Racing Juvenile Classic over course and distance back in July in a famous one-two-three for the kennel. Following on from that, Romeo Alliance went to Nottingham and went unbeaten throughout the ARC Puppy Classic and went onto lift another Category One competition.

Today, on his return to Towcester, he can rail inside Keefill Goose (T5) and kick for home down the back straight.
