Saturday Greyhound Tips: Three to follow from Towcester

Today's Greyhounds odds

1 pt 19:58 Towcester – Ballymac Duffle (T1) @ SP

All eyes on Towcester this evening with the third round of the Star Sports & Orchestrate English Greyhound Derby taking centre stage.

At 19:58, look out for Irish raider BALLYMAC DUFFLE from T1. The lightly raced Liam Dowling-trained May 2024 son of Ballymac Cooper is a railer blessed with blistering early pace and staying power, that's a lethal combination around Towcester.

A winner by over four lengths in the first round (28.37) followed up by a win in 28.31 by just over seven lengths in the second round laid down markers for the competition, and he's clearly in a shout of going the whole way.

Tonight, it's all about the break and run into the first bend, trap well and this should be all over bar the shouting for those that have taken the short odds.

Brunch Pal (T4) rates as the main danger. Slick Sentinel (T6) is a class act and will be looking to book his place in the next round of the 2026 Greyhound Derby.

Droopys Sort (T3) could be worth including in forecast bets at a price.

1 pt 20:18 Towcester – Glengar Kane (T1) @ SP

At 20:18, all eyes will be on the boxes as Glengar Kane (T1), Scooby The Lady (T2), and Underground Gold (T4) clash in what should be a cracker.

Preference given the inside line is for GLENGAR KANE in the red jacket. The Pat Buckley-trained Irish raider is two from two over course and distance with wins recorded in 28.60 and 28.59.

There’s more to come from the October 2023 son of Grangeview Ten, and he looks the type to keep improving with each run over this four-bend 500-metre trip at Towcester.

Scooby The Lady (T2) has shown electric early pace in her races of late and is in with live chances. Underground Gold (T4) was an ultra-impressive winner of the Category One Ladbrokes Puppy Derby final at Monmore on 28 March, and he’s sure to prove popular this evening with a vacant box on his inside in T3.

1 pt 21:38 Towcester – Mongys Wild (T2) @ SP

The third and final selection from Towcester this evening is multiple Category One winner MONGYS WILD who lines up from T2 in the Barking Mad TV Trophy final at 21:38 over the eight-bend 942-metre trip.

This race looks a match between marathon superstar Mongys Wild in T2 and the new kid on the block Droopys Rated in T6. Last time out in the heats of this competition, Droopys Rated, trained by Paul Young, laid down a huge marker with an impressive eight length victory recorded in 57.17.

Mongys Wild also won well but was much slower on the clock at 58.28. That doesn’t tell the whole story though, with Mongys Wild stumbling out of the boxes and not leading until the fifth bend, it was a very impressive run on the eye.

Tonight, this is a race not to be missed. Sit back and enjoy as the best two marathon performers around clash in what should be a cracker.
