Thursday Greyhound Tips: Central Park can breed a couple winners

Greyhounds time, and once again, we're leaning on the wisdom of expert Trap2Line, who has headed to Central Park for both of today's selections.

16:34 Central Park - Jumpstart Sarah (T6) @ SP

We take a marked step down in class this afternoon from open race company into graded fair, and as drawn, we should have a good opportunity to lead out wide and clear away for an impressive victory.

How I see this A1 being run:

T1 won well the last two times over four and six bends, breaks well but lacks a yard of pace, and then finishes strongly, so may get held up during the race against these quicker types, and I can see crowding.

T2 will look for the rails straight away, but what may happen with T1 starting quickly, they could come together as lids open, which could spoil each other's chances, would be dangerous if pinging and going round in front, but I don't see that.

T3 is another runner that is drawn badly and will be edging across to the left all the way up the run-up, and space will be at a premium, which could curtail this one's chances.

T4 is a couple of quick times when coming away, but that quick start isn't always guaranteed, and you will know pretty quickly if she is on a going day or not.

T5 well fancied last time out in this grade and ran well, but was only second; overall times compared to us lane in our favour, and I can see us gaining first run on this runner today.

So to us in T6, a perfect draw to ping out and pace up and clear this field by the first bend. If we go round in front, I would be disappointed if we were unable to collect a victory against these lesser lights. Excellent opportunity today.

17:12 Central Park - Move Over Eily (T3) @ SP

We step back up in distance today after running over four bends last week and have a perfect draw to lead up the inner runners, and can clear away early in this. May be vulnerable late if we don't get a big enough lead, but I see us being multiple lengths clear first circuit and have enough in the tank to hold on off the last.

How I see this S2 being run:

T1 is very slow to stride but does stay on strongly. The thing is, this runner will be tailed off early and isn't guaranteed a clear passage when coming to challenge. I would rather be away and gone than have to come through this field.

T2 has a similar running style to T1, being very slow to go, and that can lead to crowding with the inside runner at bend one and possibly spoiling each other's chances if doing so.

T4 is a regular over this far in open class and looks the main danger to us as drawn, normally slow to go but could turn handier than usual today and would be a massive threat to us if turning second.

T5 is good over four bends, not so good over this far, maybe one of the outsiders today, and I can't see this one landing a blow.

T6 vacant trap.

So, to us in T3, good draw and early pace to lead this field and kick right away, middle pace really good, but this is as far as we want to go; we can build a big enough lead to win this and win this well, as this is a step down in class for us.
