18:45 Central Park - Broadway Shay (T1) @ SP
We have a plot draw on the inside this evening. This distance is as far as we want to go but we can build a big enough lead throughout first half of the contest to have enough in the tank to hold the strong finishers late on. We was worried out of last week's six-bend debut at hove but compensation awaits tonight
T2 is very slow into stride and will give us a lovely pitch early on in this contest, will need the race to slow or come together to get involved. Both this runner and T3 have the same running style and may hold each other up because of this so this enhances our chances more.
T3 another slow to go type, has massive chasing pace when in the clear but won't be able to avoid coming together with T2 round first few bends, this runner's slow start will mean we should have the rails to ourselves with a level break.
T4 will try and come across to the inside from this draw but again slow to go type and won't have enough pace to get across.
T5 is a top-grade type, no form over this distance but is a quick four-bend runner that could lead for a a few turns from a good draw tonight.
T6 has won over course and distance and has been running well over the four-bend trip recently, similar comments to T5 really. Both have similar split times so could get to first bend at same time, didn't look to stay after gaining a clear lead last run over this far and I see the same again tonight.
So to us is T1, good draw on the rails to turn handier than normal, should miss all the trouble on the inside and outside and can close with our middle pace before going on far side and kicking a few lengths clear, in my opinion.

20:32 Shelbourne - Carrick Scholesy (T5) @ SP
We were unlucky to be knocked out of the main competition when missing the break in the third round and not being able to recover. He has run well since and looks to have a really good race make up this evening to lead and make all to qualify for the finals next week.
T1 poor draw for this runner and will be edging middle on the run up as normally drawn wider out, which may cause initial crowding with that move and that can ruin many chances for the inside runners early on in this contest.
T2 will do well to avoid any crowding from T1. They did win an opening heat of the derby before being knocked out in the second round, but have had poor times since.
T3 very slow to go and like a crowded race so is able to come through late, will need that type of race tonight to get involved. I can't see this runner gaining a clear passage on the run up or at first bend.
T4 will edge towards the rails on the run up and is drawn wider out than ideal, doesn't always come away but if breaking in best fashion will drift towards the rails and give us lots of room on the outside to pace up and clear the inside.
T6 has a few lengths and time to find with us on course and distance form, good draw on the outside but I see us gaining first run this evening and that will be crucial to our chances.
So back to us in T5, I see us breaking well going around leading or on the shoulder of T2, good all round pace should see us home and I'm confident of a big run.
