T2 (Rattling West) 16:59 Sunderland @ SP
We have an excellent opportunity in this afternoon's downgrade into A5. The race make up suits us and our running style and I see a good run on the rails awaiting us. We can then quickly leave this grade behind and go back up to A4 after our win.
T1 is very slow to start and this will be key to our race and the position we will be in heading into the turn. Decent time last time but overall disappointing times for the grade. Not for me.
T3 should put the pace to the race today. Doing that will enable us to have more space as all the runners head into the turn. This runner sets the race up perfectly for us. Another grade dropper who has not been running well or lasting out races too strongly. I see us picking this runner up off the last.
T4 has been off since June's debut win so may need this run tonight. Okay trial but crowding looms today.
T5 pops up now and again at big prices. Has similar splits to T4 and T3 so there may be crowding once these runners get to the first bend. They will ruin each other's races, I expect.
T6 has been double-figure prices in seven of the last eight runs. This dog has plummeted down the grades since being in A2 in July. Out of form but every dog as their level and this may be this runner's level. But on current form I couldn't fancy her.
So to us in T2. Really good make up to lead T1, follow T3 round first few bends and stay on strongly from fourth bend to win this race going away. That's why I make him my bet of the day.

T5 (Ballycowen Mara) 12:59 Dunstall Park @ SP
We return to racing this afternoon after having two trials here since Perry Barr closed. What I like about our chances is that we are about spot on for our season dates, meaning we will be running at maximum fitness levels. We should appreciate this track and trip if the recent two trials are anything to go by.
T1 ran well first run here last week when lacking early pace but came home strongly and was a never-nearer second. If we get held up or don't run as we should than this runner is a massive danger to us late on in proceedings. Nothing will be finishing stronger.
T2 is in a better grade than the T1 runner at Perry Barr but hasn't really taken to this track yet. Not coming away as normal and that may mean there will be a wall of greyhounds as she enters the first bend and I can't see this runner avoiding the crowding. Not for me.
T3 had a decent A5 grader in May before lay off. Came back with two sprint runs before the track close. In three tries here has missed the up twice and pinged once. So you will be in the lap of the gods as to which start this runner is going to get. With that in mind I can't fancy her in this on those start/split times alone.
T4 is very consistent trap wise and split times to winning line first time so you know what you are going to get. So far this runner looks as though she will be prominent initially in this going into first bend. What I don't like and what puts me off is her end times not being that fast and will need to improve five or six lengths to land this afternoon's contest.
T6 was a very big price on debut here and was in a lot of trouble during the contest. Previously in trials has shown a modicum of early pace so will be another prominent racer today. Overall times he needs to find a few spots to figure in the finish.
So to us in T5, we showed our wellbeing by recording two really quick trials in the context of this race today. At Perry Barr we had good early pace and I do see us leading today. If we do that our chances increase greatly and being around 16 weeks out of season we should be fit enough to do ourselves justice. I see a winning course debut that's why I make her my max bet.
