18:45 Central Park - Millbank Lily (T5) @ SP

We have returned to our home track over four bends after running well over six at Romford. Last time, we were over this trip here; we broke the 41-second barrier, and any repeat of that time will mean an easy victory for us tonight.

How I see this Novice Stayers trophy being run:

T1 could be a danger to us with a clear run, as this dog has lots of chasing pace but is clumsy on the bends; however, does fly in a straight line. If this race becomes crowded at any point, my eye will be drawn to where T1 is.

T2 Hove runner, will be touch and go if this runner can clear the inside, chances go up if able to do that, but they both have similar running styles and that may go against each other in their runs, big danger to us if able to get round the first bend in a handy position.

T3 is a tight railer, so will be edging across all the way to the bend, and that in turn can hold up the inside pair, not as quick as T2 at Hove, and may struggle from a bad draw today.

T4 is the worst draw for any railer being drawn by his far away from the fence and will turn left as traps open, lots of potential crowding on the inside, and the race makeup suits us to a tee on the outside of four railers.

T6 - vacant.

So to us, we are plotted up on the outside, and for once, I see us leading out and missing the trouble. We are the most fluent of bend runners with dogs around us, but I see us being clear and going further clear throughout the race. The danger would be if T2 pinged the lids, but I don't see that, and we can stretch on for a well-deserved victory, max bet for me.

19:24 Doncaster - Keefill Rocky (T5) @ SP

Won really well in the heat for this final last week, leading early and stretching right away on the run in against the reposing T3 tonight. We have got a good draw for this final and will come in for last week's run, as that was our first competitive start in a while. T3 will be odds on again, but we can confirm placings with that rival.

How I see this race panning out:

T1 did well to win last week's heat but was helped when the favourite was forced to check at the last bend when challenging. Big price tonight, but does have a good draw. Overall times are five to six lengths slower than us and T3, so will struggle on that alone.

T2 is a tight railer who won't like losing the red vest, crowded crucial stage last week, and will need to be better tonight to get involved; not for me.

T3 seemed to ease into the third bend last week, which in dog racing is never a good sign. Went off 2/5 too, no doubt again will go off odds on, and if leading could win well, but similar pace around him tonight could spell trouble at the bend and allow us to again go clear.

T4 very slowly away, and that will help us tonight. Will be the rank outsider of tonight's field.

T6 just about got through in third last week, will need to improve bundles to figure tonight, she does have her draw though, but doesn't process the early pace we do.

So, to us in T5, we can easily lead this field with a normal getaway; both T4 and T6 are a lot slower than us into stride, and if we clear the food at the bend, the only danger would be if T3 turned on our shoulder. I don't see that personally, and I see a good victory like last week. Bet of the day for me.
