T1 (Doug Squirrel) 18:14 Central Park @ SP
For the past 14 weeks we have been returning from season and have been getting fitter and running quicker and quicker. Tonight I feel that we have lots in our favour to land this D3 contest after recently being downgraded and tonight's race make up suits us.
T2 is very very slow into stride and that's not a very good attribute for a sprinter. This runner starting slow will aid us and help us to secure a good position going into the initial bend.
T3 has been running poorly since coming back on to the card. Was in a lot better form in February breaking 17 seconds for fun. Not been the same since returning and is best watched until showing some of her old sparkle.
T4 has a poor record in this grade and is better in D4. Struggles to break 17 seconds for the trip and will need a time like that to be able to win tonight's contest. Personally I don't see it.
T5 is one that will put the pace to this race. Has won in D5 and D4 recently from the front. This is harder and we in T1 are quicker. I do see this runner maybe leading with T6 for a few strides on the run up. But when we get going into the bend we can quickly seize control of the contest.
T6 is another pacy individual that will be up there with T5. Not in the best of form, and has been on and off the card all year. Will need more runs to get that race fitness edge. I can't see this one clearing T5 and they can hold each other up presenting us with a clear passage on the inner.
So to us in T1, the key will be leading the inside pair in T2 and T3 tonight. Both are slow into stride so we should do that. With the benefit of the rails pitch we can go round and kick clear off the second bend to win this race going away. Bet of the day for me.

T3 (Haverhill Lass) 20:07 Swindon @ SP
We have gone off favourite in three of our last 4 A1 races here. Failing to hit the mark but we have run well in each and I see tonight's race being easier than the ones we have been in previously. I think the trap move from T1 out to T3 will suit us.
T1 comes back on to the card tonight after a two week break since running at Oxford. Had previously trialled here and blew the cobwebs off by having a spin last week. Times are around three-to-four lengths slower than us and she will need to improve to get involved tonight.
T2 is a bit of an unknown quantity. Recently moved from Ennis in Ireland. Has had a sprint trial along with a pair of 476m trials. Found a big chunk of time latest and if that improvement continues then this could be our main danger. I do feel we will need to gain first run on this runner to have our best chance of victory.
T4 is a solid and consistent yard stick even if she finds A1 races too quick for her. Once she dropped to A2 she was able to dominate and posted a very quick time for the grade. Stepped back up and won a maiden open race too but that time wouldn't win tonight's contest. I can't see this runner beating us in a clean run race tonight.
T5 is very well drawn on the outside this evening and will put the pace to the race. I see us having a good battle with this runner but ultimately coming out on top where it matters off the last bend.
T6 vacant
So to us in T3, we have a good middle draw to be able to pace up and turn a challenging second behind T5. If we do that, we should be too quick for that runner late on. If we do get held up by the other inside runners then T5 may scoot clear. It will be hard to pick that runner up. But as I read the race and see the race I do see us coming through late and win this going away. Confident choice.
