Tuesday Greyhound Tips: A Dasher and some ivy and it’s not even Christmas yet

The sun is still cracking the flags, even the hardiest of Monster-slurping goths are still in their black board shorts and the last festival notes are yet to ring out. But Trap2Line brings us two tips today with a distinctly festive flavour. No, they aren't called "Michael Buble" and "Brussel Sprout".

Read on for your Tuesday Greyhound Tips, as Trap2Line takes us to Swindon and Doncaster. 

20:41 Swindon - T3 (Pulleen Dasher) @ SP

We had an amazing run of form in mid-July winning three open races, two at Nottingham and one at Perry Barr. Some really quick times too. What I noticed about those races was we trapped and led all the way. Since returning here for the last couple of runs we stumbled start two runs ago and was very slowly away latest.

We will need to improve on our trapping tonight but looking back on previous form here and form in the grade we are capable of a 4.10-4.15 split which is what we need to get back to in this five-dog race.

T1 has a record of 2/19 in the grade. Better in A4 and A5 contests and sometimes gets tapped for a bit of speed when running in this grade. I do see the same again tonight.

T2 is an erratic trapper, comes out one week and then the next misses the up. First time running this high a grade but did have top grade form back at her previous track, Oxford. Really loves the rails and the loss of the T1 jacket is a blow. Will edge left towards rails and could crowd with the inside runner, giving us lots of space on her outside tonight.

T4 has been sprinting since coming back onto the card in July. Prior to lay-off was running in this grade but not running too well. Will drift more mid to wide on the run up as is used to being drawn further out. Inside him we are going to get a bit more room to pace up. 

T5 recently won in this grade last week. Was not upgraded as their time was not particularly quick. Tonight I can see this one leading or being prominent round the first few bends but I feel there are stronger runners that will come past this runner late 

T6 vacant 

So to us in T3, downgraded to this A3 where we boast a 3-4 and 75% record in the grade which is good. We do need to trap better than last week but we are going to have lots of room on the run up to pace up. Overall we are the quickest in the field it's just getting that all important early pitch in the race. If we have a bit of luck at first bend to get round, I can see us catching T5 by the fourth bend and winning this going away. Solid chance.

19:14 Doncaster - T6 (Longrange Ivy) @ SP

Season bitch at the start of May so should be running at the height of her powers. Recently downgraded into this B5 grade and tonight gets her first spin out of the T6 box instead of T4/T5. To me we have one main danger in this race in T4 but I like our make up better than his.

T1 pops up now and again at decent prices. Overall form is poor however and will likely go off at a big price this evening .

T2 If this runner reproduces her time back on the July 14, winning in 28.25, then they could go close tonight. That was in a B6 race and it did go her way. Not likely to get the same luxury this evening and will struggle to clear the runner on her inside on the run up.

T3 comes back on to the card tonight for the first time since mid May. Trials have been poor and will more than likely need tonight's race for fitness. Prior to lay-off was running in a better grade (B4) but has been way off those type of times in practice. Not for me tonight.

T4 represents the main danger to us tonight. Similar form to us in B4 and steps down to this B5 for the second time. Very consistent on times just B4 races a tad too quick and will be more at home against tonight's rivals.

T5 very big prices in this grade the last few times and a no-show in both. Will benefit from a downgrade from the grader. I can't see this runner getting involved tonight.

So to us in T6, perfect season dates so we should be at peak fitness. Recent downgrade to this grade, we are a strong running bitch and the race tonight favours us. Tracking the pace in T5 before staying on past that runner off the last bend, big danger of course in T4 and I wouldn't put people off the reverse forecast with us and T4. But as a win bet I think we have a strong chance from a plot draw tonight.
