Saturday Greyhounds Tips: No Friends at Central Park

20:54 Central Park - T2 (Fastlane Hoffa) @ SP

We have not yet fulfilled our trial promise since arriving here from Ireland, and in both races so far we have missed the break which has then led to trouble at the bend. All we need tonight is a level break to pace up and control this from the front.

How I see this race being run: 

T1 - A consistent runner a tad off top class and this is a strong race tonight, has winning form here in graded action but comes up a short in open racing, not for me.

T3 - Hove raider needs four bends not two bends, no real two bends form to go off and has been off the card so will need this tonight.

T4 - Again a D1 grader, couldn't land a blow in last week's open race, middle runner that will be an outsider in this based on end times alone.

T5 - Another graded sprinter here that is taking the step up in class, to me this one will be the outsider tonight.

T6 - A regular D1 runner and winner here, first open race try tonight and will struggle in the context of this race to land a blow.

So to us in T2, we are the class of the field, we just need to come away and break level, then we can pave round and win this impressively. Confident choice.

21:28 Central Park -T1 (Antigua Kestral) @ SP

Returns to the track this evening in this one-off open race, was in great form prior to lay-off and does have some quick times over course and distance. Showed well with a rapid 26.31 in practice over 450m at Oxford and tonight race make up is perfect as will have the rails all to himself.

How I see this race being run .

T2 - Isn’t normally drawn close to the fence and 100% will be moving off when the traps go up, is a very quick dog but prefers a middle draw.

T3 - Mixes four and six-bend races, breaks well and comes home well, does lack a bit of early pace which then again brings trouble, tonight is up against it in this field and will struggle to land a blow.

T4 - Very quick win last week and led all the way, good draw tonight and rates our main danger in this, I think we will be stronger late on and this runner can set the race up for us.

No T5.

T6 - Very consistent runner and has her draw tonight on the outside, will be pacing up with T4 and could go round on that one's shoulder, again will be out of our way on the outside and if the race comes together this one may get involved.

So to us, drawn for a solo on the fence, we can break well, turn in at least third and then our turbo will kick in, we have exceptional middle pace to close and we can go on off the last to win this going away. Bet of the day for me.
