Wednesday Greyhounds Tips: Tonight’s two best bets from Trap2Line

Our intrepid Greyhound guru Trap2Line has two dogs he's very interested in from this evening's cards. Here's the rationale;

Today's Greyhound Odds

T1 (Rapido Mateo) 19:56 Yarmouth @ SP

Returns to six bends this evening and to the S2 division, looking at back form we are 2/3 in the grade and normally compete in open racing and S1 when running over this far. The last couple of times of 41.17 would win this race easily and I see a good run in store against some inferior rivals.

How I see this race being run - T2 is an A2 runner over four bends and has been against decent six-bend rivals the last twice. Early crowding has put paid to his chances, moves more rails to middle on the run-up so will give us lots of room on the inside.

T3 is fast over four bends and has been in excellent form recently, didn't stay when last seen over this trip, and I see the same again tonight.

T4 was last seen in S2/S3 races over this trip, hasn't been competitive and is nearly five lengths off us if this race runs to form.

T5 ran better than the SP suggested in an S2 in May and has been consistent times-wise. Could surprise a few tonight if getting off the front.

T6 will probably go off the favourite on potential rather than form, but I can't see this one clearing the outside and if not doing so it will struggle.

So back to us - we are the more consistent at the trip, been in better grade, and have a really good draw tonight to get competitive.

T6 (Hollywood Vegas) 21:28 Romford @ SP

We have been hitting the bar recently with three seconds but those have been in a higher grade and this downgrade tonight can turn those seconds into a well-deserved win. We have a great make-up in tonight's race to win, and win well.

How I see this evening's race panning out - T1 to me is our main danger, three runs ago it won and won well, resulting in a 2 grade uplift. Tonight the grader also steps this one back to an A8 and does have a good draw on the rails, but I just feel we will gain first run.

T2 is dropping through the grades recently, form not great and will go off a big price in this race. It's just not for me.

T3 is recently back on the card after a layoff, this bitch is all about early pace but I think she will keep getting fitter and fitter race by race but I think this comes a bit too soon. In a few weeks, and given added racing fitness, this one would've been my pick.

T4 went off odds-on latest but was crowded out of it. Split times led to trouble and it might be the same again tonight, looking at the draw.

T5 was a massive price latest and drops back down to A8 as a result, watching videos this runner runs more middle so will make sure we have the outside path to ourselves.

So onto us in T6 - great draw, strong over this trip, can turn handy and stay best.
