Sunday Greyhounds Tips: Trap2Line returns to ‘happy hunting ground’

Towcester has been a happy hunting ground for our resident Greyhounds tipster Trap2Line of late, so he returns to the Northamptonshire venue on Sunday with a couple of selections.

15:11 Towcester - Breton Molly (T1) @ SP

BRETON MOLLY doesn't usually run over this distance, but they love it here and boasts some really good form over 712m.

I think the make up of Sunday afternoon's race suits, and this feels like a golden opportunity for the selection.

The dog in T2 is key to our race. Their form here isn't great and I expect them to struggle today. They're likely to edge off slightly on the run up and hopefully give us plenty of room up the inside.

T3 represents our main danger. This one's another strong type and if we aren't sharp enough out the traps, this one could lead and be difficult to reel in.

As for the others - T4 is normally drawn closer to the fence so might come across and hamper T3, adding even more to our chance, while T5 is an out-and-out stayer who should find this trip too short. T6 has a good draw but I doubt they're quick enough to take advantage.

I expect Breton Molly to take plenty of beating in this one.

16:07 Towcester - Glengar Maggie (T5) @ SP

GLENGAR MAGGIE might be the best-drawn runner of the entire meeting, never mind the day.

Overall times suggest they're the quickest in the field and hopefully they make use of that, turning handy behind T2 - or even lead that runner - before kicking on down the back to record our first victory since arriving from Ireland.

T1 has never been to Towcester, doing most of their running at Perry Barr shaping like a stayer. They could struggle against Sunday's faster rivals. T2 has good early speed and is on the improve, but we have time on our side against this one and they might just set the race up perfectly. T3 is a tight railer who will be coming across to the fence, so could crowd the inside runners.

T4 also sticks to the fence and won't appreciate being this far out. They'll be turning left as the traps open, which will hopefully give us plenty of room on the outside to miss trouble and go on to win well.
