Friday Greyhounds Tips: Trap2Line picks out two bets from Romford and Sunderland

Our man Trap2Line, is back with his greyhound tips for Friday, April 25.

We're off to Sunderland and Romford for tonight's selections - read all about them and their chances below.

19:44 Romford - Bright Jewel (T6) @ SP

Steps back in trip this evening from 750m to 575m, but to counter that, has a really good draw tonight.

However, the race make-up and being the only wide seed as well as a split of 23.85 over the first 400m of her last 750m race, looks promising for this race.

How I see the race being run - T1 is an eight-bend runner, only gets going late in races and that attracts trouble so this step back in trip is a negative rather than a positive.

T2 is getting better over the six bends but that crucial lack of early pace into bend one has brought trouble on numerous occasions and I see the same again tonight.

T3 ran well on return here last week and will be edging in as drawn and can crowd with the inside runners.

T4 returned last week over four bends after layoff, overall form not strong enough over the six bends and likely to go off one of the outsiders.

T5 prefers a draw nearer the fence so will turn left out the traps as normally comes out of T3 and is more known as an eight-bend runner.

20:17 Sunderland - Coolavanny Mercy (T4) @ SP

We return to the track tonight after a lay off - two good trials at Newcastle over the 290m trip would've blown away any cobwebs.

Last time we were here, we recorded times of 26.79 and 26.84 off splits of 4.82 and 4.88, which no-one in this race can match, in my opinion.

How I see the race being run - T1 is better known as a stayer so may get a bit outpaced in this, nothing will be finishing stronger though for me.

T2 is our main danger and does have a victory over us at Newcastle last year. T3 will be edging to the rails on the run up so may crowd with T2 and that in turn will give us more space to pace up and clear the inside.

T5 completely unknown here, while T6 is a very solid top-grade local that maybe in trouble if T5 swings off.
