Thursday Greyhounds Tips: Hove is the focus tonight

Our man Trap2Line, is back with his greyhound tips for Thursday, April 24.

We're off to Hove for tonight's selections - read all about them and their chances below.

19:33 Hove - Burrows Diamond (T6) @ SP

We step back up to six bends this evening having raced over the distance once before, we looked to stay well enough after a slower break than was ideal. If this was a four-bend race we would be quite short as we are A1 class with the other runner A3-A5 class, I expect a bold show on the outside.

T1 is the main danger, very slowly away and will have too track clever early as T2 will be edging across to the rails.

T2 doesn't scream out that she will stay, but has been over the distance a few times but hasn't been competitive on both those runs, same again this evening.

It's T4's debut over the trip tonight, good trial but is A5 over four bends and there is a big gulf in class between A5 and A1 where we ply our trade.

T5 has won two from six in S2 races (695m) so does stay but times aren't as quick as our selection. As for us we have good early over the four-bend trip so I expect us to be quickly away and make all, my eyes of course will be drawn to where T1 is.

19:49 Hove - Burrows Eclipse (T6) @ SP

Returns to Hove tonight after a few good runs at Oxford in the Hunt Cup, winning one heat before being eliminated by the eventual winner.

T1 is the early pace type, and has been posting some quick times from the inside but won't get things all his own way tonight being hampered by T2 throughout this, as both will be wanting the same running room and rails position.

T2 would ideally want T1, again an early pace type, but overall times are not as quick as T1.

T3 was not as quick as us at Oxford but does have good form here -  however, I can't see him clearing the inside and that ruins his chance for me.

T4 is a danger if everyone crowds up as they will be coming with a wet sail off the last bend and could pick up the pieces if runners get in each other's way.

Our pick's overall pace in this should be too strong.
