Thursday Greyhounds Tips: Trap2Line is back again

Our resident expert Trap2Line is back with his Thursday Greyhound tips, with two picks from Towcester.

14:33 Towcester - T1 (Essjay Oakley) @ SP

Comes here in tremendous form having recorded a five-timer over both two and four bends. Again looks to have a decent opportunity to add to those numbers with the race make up really favouring us.

How I see the race panning out - T2 is very consistent but we have that crucial draw on the inside to pace up and that is worth a length or two at the bend, although we do need to lead T2 though to win this. If we don't T2 could be our danger but looking at races I see out the traps that T2 moves slightly off, so that space on the rails is ours for the taking.

T3 more mid-to-wide than middle and will be moving off at trap rise. T5 has a couple of quick times but also some slow times, isn't that consistent and could be crowded by T3 moving into his path on the run up. T6, if this becomes a crowded race then he can pick the pieces up being a stayer, but in a clean-run race this field will be too quick. So back to us, I feel we lead and make all.

15:29 Towcester - T5 (An Maistir) @ SP

There are a lot of runners in this race who are stepping up to this grade for the first time after winning their A5s last week and we have a mixture of pups and experienced runners in this race this afternoon. But everything to me points at the fact we have lots in our favour and this is therefore my best bet on the entire card.

How I think the race will be run - T1 is a slow into stride railer who struggles to break the 30-second barrier in races and looks up against it again this afternoon. T2 is a kennel mate of T1 but is totally outgraded and likely to go off as the outsider. T3 another kennel mate and this one rates as the main danger to us. Pup won well last week but what I noticed was that this 500m trip is 100% as far as this runner wants to go as he was all out close to home but held on in the A5 grade. 

Up against better dogs this afternoon I feel will be picked up off the last bend. T4 another runner stepping up in grade, never broken 30 seconds in his races so won't get competitive here. Then there is us, a regular 29 second runner, strong, good draw to work from, can follow T3 round and pick that one up late. Confident choice.
