Greyhounds Tips - Monday, March 10
T3 (Southfield Poppy) 21:28 Nottingham @ SP
Great early pace last week, got dragged back at the bend when we let T3 up our inside, looking at tonight's make up I can't see much pace inside us so I feel we get round in front this time unscathed
T1 not known as a sprinter but loves a perfect record here over the 480m and has been on both opens she has been in and could be one to pick up the pieces if we under perform. Recently has been running over four bends not sprints so unsure if that has blunted her early pace
T2 Donny sprinter has never been here and looks out-graded in this. T4 has form across the country and won a recent open at Towcester. Had previously been here and was involved in all kinds of trouble at bend so will need to look lively as drawn. T5 back form here over this trip won't be quick enough to figure and is returning from a lay off so a watching brief advised this evening
T6 is a big danger if he can translate his Sheffield form here but a really slow split 5.31 on a recent 500m trial will put him out the back in a sprint (not the place to be) and would struggle to come through the field if so. What I see is a trap to line victory for us, blitz these from trap rise and win well.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
T1 (Romeo Steel) 21:46 Nottingham @ SP
Gained compensation last week for an unlucky run 2 weeks ago and we can use that momentum to continue the winning thread, to me this is an easier race than we faced last week so I expect an even more dominant victory over today's rivals
How I see the race going, T2 is a D2 graded runner that isn't up to the class and will struggle to contain us off a level break. T3 is a solid donny local that is having his first run here, like always any dog that is having a first look at the track, will run off at the first bend and that will give us in T1 even more room to get round
T4 is a massive danger to us if we don't come away or fluff our lines but again that one's race may be ruined with the antics of T3 at the bend. T5 similar comments to T3 as no look but this one does bring some decent sprint form from Oxford and Hove and will be a lively outsider.
T6 smashed them last week over the shorter trip and shorter run to the bend, this longer run to the bend not sure to suit and I can see this one being involved in the inevitable trouble looming at the first bend. I feel we force our way round and go on to record an impressive victory.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
