Saturday Greyhounds Tips: Two selections from Trap2Line

Our resident Greyhounds tipster Trap2Line is back with a couple of  Greyhounds Tips to see in the weekend.

His selections come from Oxford and Monmore and you will find his Saturday Grehounds Tips below.

T1 (Carols Hero) 20:26 Oxford @ SP

Won for us last week after coming back onto the card. Good draw again this evening and will come on for last week’s effort and I can see us adding another victory to our card. There are some dangers and pitfalls in this race that I will explain below.

How I see this race going, key for us will be T2 and what she does on the run up, we need her to pace up as usual and that will give us a really good running lane in behind her in the initial stages of this race. T3 would be a danger if we could turn the clock back a year or so but we can't and her form has tailed off really

T4 will struggle in this race and hasn't shown much since coming back here from Crayford. T5 is our main danger if we get crowded, really good form overall and if we fluff our lines will easily pick up the pieces.

T6 had a really good trial in their latest run but form isn't really up-to this and will struggle to land a blow. What I see is us tracking the pace and taking this up by third bend and winning this going away. T1/T5 could also be a good reverse forecast.

T3 (Romeo Tomcat) 19:22 Monmore @ SP

To win any race by over 17 lengths makes you sit up and take notes and that's exactly what we did on our debut at Central Park, since then we have recorded a victory over course and distance. However last week, after a slow break and crowding we were unable to maintain our 100% winning record, being run out of it in the later stages after a troubled passage, granted a better getaway and clearer run we should easily land this race.

How I see this evening's race panning out, T1 unfamiliar draw to work from after coming out of T4 last week. Crowding at crucial stages lost him the race but is our main danger in this when we go back to his Towcester puppy cup form, to me will crowd with T2 early.

T2 another early pace type will be third-best here but could be dangerous if pinging and there be trouble behind. T4 on trials looks to be slowly in stride and could get outpaced in this race throughout. T5 unbeaten Limerick runner, trials inconclusive on these shores after some really slow starts.

T6 again brings a solid Irish card over here but trials again suggest this will be above him. So going back to us in T3 we have good early and middle gears, so I see us either breaking level and pacing up or tinting in behind T2 and using our middle pace to go clear, either way I hold this dog in high regard and expect an impressive victory.
