Monday Greyhounds Tips: Two for tonight, at Nottingham and Yarmouth

Our resident greyhound expert Trap2Line is on the case for us once again, on Monday January 6. He's identified runners at both Nottingham and Yarmouth worthy of the closest scrutiny, and here's the thinking behind tonight's Greyhound Tips.

Today's Greyhound Odds

T6 (Divine Justice) 19:56 Yarmouth

Decent if not unlucky debut last week after being crowded on the run-up and badly baulked at the first bend - but showed all sorts of pace to recover and make up lots of ground on the eventual winner.

We also recorded our PB time even with that trouble, and with a clearer run tonight we can break the 29 second barrier and record our maiden victory.

How I see tonight's race going - good draw on the outside with a slow-starting middle runner in T5 that will move left out of the traps and give us lots of space to pace up and clear the field at the bend.

The outside was running quicker from the races I saw yesterday and with the forecast rain that can continue tonight, ensuring favourable ground and that good draw, I do expect us to win, and win well.

T1 (Maughera Ace) 21:28 Nottingham

Decent open-race sprinter at numerous tracks including here, very draw dependant, and saves all our best performances when drawn in the red jacket; which we get tonight. Not so good latest at Romford but returns here tonight with what I believe is an excellent race make-up.

How I see this race going - we have of course drawn the rail and with T2 not that trappy we can quickly forge ahead of that rival. I wouldn't want T3 getting out as to me that is our main danger if he does.

The middle to outside traps are all out-graded in this for me, so in my opinion I see T1 beating T3.
