Thursday Greyhounds Tips: Three for three on Thursday?

19:27 Newcastle - T4 (Swift Silly) @ SP
Veteran still has a fantastic early pace but struggles to stay the four-bend distance at racing pace nowadays so stepping back down in a trip to 290m could be perfect. In recent times we have trialled twice over the sprint trips clocking sub 17 seconds on both occasions, a repeat of any of those times tonight and it's our race to lose.
How I see this race going: well, it could be pretty simple if we trap and pace up like normal we could be clear going into the bend. If we miss a beat we still have the pace to challenge at first bend but like any sprint, the break is all important. In a normal clean run race, we win this by a couple of lengths - everything points to us, times/stats/form, etc.

20:01 Newcastle - T1 (Antigua Hawk) @ SP
Travesty we didn't win our first-round heat after being badly crowded first/second bend last week but we made up 10 lengths on the reapposing T3 tonight going down in a very close photo. That was an eye-catching run and a clearer run tonight should be all we need to reverse the form.
How I see tonight's race going: we have a better draw on paper than we did last week in regards to T2 going to turn more right than left out the traps. Again, I expect T3 to pace up and out-trap us but I feel we are going to turn a lot closer in the second. We are a jealous dog with lots of pace and I feel we can quickly close on T3 and challenge around the final two bends to win this going away. I can only max bet us on what I saw last week and the makeup we have this evening.

20:44 Swindon - T6 (Newinn Bliss) @ SP
Returns here on the back of a very troubled run in a top open at Oxford, prior to that was desperate not to get around the first bend over course and distance when we had her two weeks ago. A solid local with a six out of 10 strike rate in the trap and a three out of six strike rate in opens. Borna very strong stats for tonight's bitches race.
How I see this race panning out: we have the perfect makeup being the only wide seed, drawn next to T5 who is more often than not a railer so we have no excuses here tonight and could be the only one in the race to gain a clear run. If we break in the same vein as two weeks ago around a 3.97 sectional we can clear the field and go on to win by many lengths. Of course, the start is important - if we badly miss the up then we are in trouble but form and stats say we have more going for us tonight than we have going against us so to me, a very confident pick.
