Tuesday Greyhounds Tips: Trap2Line’s three for Tuesday

Quick downgrade back to D3 after not running too badly in a D2 latest, seems to always be competitive and run well in this grade and tonight will be no exception. Not many of tonight’s runners break 17 seconds but we do on a regular basis, so time wise that gives us a massive shout in this. If you add that to our make up tonight and we have lots going for us.

How I see tonight’s race going: this will boil down to us getting first run on the danger in Trap 1 as that is normally slowly away. Prior to the lay off, I would’ve said Trap 6 was a massive danger but since return doesn’t seem to be the same bitch. I can see us leading outside and cutting the field off at the bend, we lead anytime in this and it’s game over.

Returns from a break this evening but back firm is head and shoulders above tonight’s field. Trialled over 275m last week to blow cobwebs off and a very good 16.82 recorded, and will come on for that.

How I see tonight’s race going: we have more early pace than Trap 5 and that could be key tonight for us clearing the field at the initial bend, I do see a trap to line victory. Only danger I see would be Trap 4 getting first run on us, looking at overall times though even if Trap 4 led us we have better finishing times. What would be the perfect scenario would be us leading and Trap 4 turning in behind us and acting like our goalkeeper stopping other dogs from getting past. Either way, this looks a strong selection.

Season bitch has been running into form and is getting faster each run, breaking 17 seconds the last two times, which in the context of this race is quick. She is just over 14 weeks out of season and we should be running at bear peak fitness and that will show tonight.

We can record a trap to line victory with our overall pace. Both Trap 4 and Trap 6 are slowly into stride, so we can quickly take control of the outside and have too much for the field off the last bend. Prior to this season we were a competitive four-bend performer, so we won’t be stopping close home.
