Newcastle United will return to Premier League duties this weekend, as they travel to Molineux on Saturday evening (17:30) to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Eddie Howe’s side are looking to respond to their Champions League defeat in midweek against Borussia Dortmund, while Wolves are looking to extend their three-game unbeaten streak.

Wolves vs Newcastle Prediction

  • Draw @ 11/4
  • Callum Wilson to score anytime @ 21/20

Team News

Mario Lemina and Nelson Semedo will return to the fold for Wolves after both men were suspended for the victory at the Vitality Stadium last time out. However, Hugo Bueno and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde will miss out due to injury.

Meanwhile, Alexander Isak was withdrawn inside the opening 15 minutes against Dortmund, so it remains to be seen as to whether the striker will be fit enough to feature here.

Jacob Murphy, Harvey Barnes and Sven Botman all continue to contend with various injuries, while Sandro Tonali has been banned for 10 months due to illegal betting.

Match Odds

Wolves are 16/5 to claim the victory, with Newcastle 4/5 while the draw is 11/4.

The sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Molineux last season and a repeat of that scoreline can be backed at 13/2.

Draw @ 11/4

Firstly, I’m going to back the draw as I think there’s plenty of value at 11/4.

I believe Wolves can frustrate this Newcastle side, who have gone five games without a loss since losing to Brighton at the start of last month, winning four times, with the stand-out result in that spell their 8-0 hammering of Sheffield United.

However, I feel like Newcastle are a completely different outfit away from home than at St James’ Park, with that emphatic win at Bramall Lane their only win on the road during this impressive run.

Wolves have improved as the weeks have gone by, taking eight points from their past four matches, including a 2-1 victory over defending champions Manchester City.

Callum Wilson to score anytime @ 21/20

With doubts surrounding the fitness of Alexander Isak, it seems likely that Callum Wilson will start for the Magpies on Saturday.

The former Bournemouth striker has netted five goals this season, including four in his last five league appearances.

I think the England international represents good value here, as Wolves have only kept one clean sheet so far this term.
