Getafe vs Alaves Prediction: Another feisty head-to-head

Getafe and Alaves, who finished 13th and 15th, respectively, in La Liga last season, have both made strong starts to the current campaign, ahead of their matchweek six meeting at the Coliseum on Wednesday (18:00 BST, Premier Sports Player). Getafe are on nine points, having won three of their first five matches, while Alaves are just two points behind their midweek hosts after winning twice.

Getafe forward Adrian Liso has been called up to represent Spain at the Fifa U-20 World Cup in Chile, so he will miss Wednesday's match; Corba da Costa could replace the teenager in attack.

Getafe have won the last two head-to-heads at the Coliseum, and the Azulones are 13/10 favourites to win on Wednesday, implying a 43.5% probability of success. Alaves, whose last victory at Getafe came in the Copa del Rey in October 2017, are 11/4, or a 26.7% chance, to pick up three points, with the draw priced at 9/5.

On Wednesday, Rice could be marking Alaves right-winger Carlos Vicente, who averaged 1.7 fouls won per game in 2024/25 and is averaging 2.6 fouls won per game this term.
