Spain look to put their humiliating 0-0 draw with Cape Verde behind them as they meet Saudi Arabia in their second World Cup 2026 match (5pm BST, 12pm local time, BBC One & iPlayer). Luis de la Fuente will be eager for his men to dazzle at Atlanta Stadium in this Group H collision.

Read on for my Spain vs Saudi Arabia Bet Builder Tips as we count down to the return of La Roja.

Spain vs Saudi Arabia Odds

Abdulelah Al-Amri to be carded

The Saudi defender received a booking in the opening game for a foul on Federico Vinas in a 1-1 draw with Uruguay.

Al-Amri is arguably facing superior players than he was in the 1-1 draw with Uruguay, depending on how the Cape Verde result scars Spanish psyches. With the likes of Mikel Oyarzabal, Lamine Yamal, Gavi and Pedri breathing down his neck, I can see Al-Amri going into the referee’s notebook once more.

Mikel Oyarzabal to score first

There was to be no blush-saving late winner from Oyarzabal as a nation hung its heads (and the others all laughed) against Cape Verde. But the La Liga centurion does have a knack for getting La Roja off to a flyer.

The Real Sociedad striker bagged the first two goals in a 3-0 friendly win against Serbia in March. Oyarzabal needed just two minutes to break through against Peru earlier this month, in an eventual 3-1 victory.

Oyarzabal also scored first in qualifying victories in September and November. If anyone knows how to get this party started its Mikel Oyarzabal.

Spain to win both halves

De la Fuente has had questions to answer over the past week. So have his players. I believe all parties involved will answer them with aplomb here.

There is a reason Spain were the pre-tournament favourites with Betfred and elsewhere. The likes of Yamal, Oyarzabal, Gavi, Rodri, Pedri and Ferran Torres have not become bad players over night.

This Spain side was adjudged to have more firepower and ability than Saudi Arabia coming into the competition. That has not changed. I reckon the bruised egos in red make amends and win both halves.
