After four games, Poland and Finland are locked together on seven points in Group G of 2026 World Cup qualification. The Netherlands are also on seven points, but have played a match fewer, and Sunday's meeting between the Poles and Finns in Chorzow could be crucial in the race to finish as runners-up behind the Dutch.

Below are my Poland vs Finland predictions, complete with all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of this World Cup qualifier at Stadion Slaski (19:45 BST).

Poland vs Finland Betting Tips

Team News

Poland could go with the same 11 that started Thursday's 1-1 draw with the Netherlands in Rotterdam, with Jakub Kiwior, Piotr Zielinski, Sebastian Szymanski, Nicola Zalewski and Robert Lewandowski all in the side. National team Lewandowski only lasted 64 minutes at De Kuip, but he is expected to stay on longer against Finland.

Football Odds

Belgium vs Kazakhstan Stats

  • Maxim De Cuyper (BEL) has three goals in five caps this year
  • Kazakhstan have conceded 3+ goals in six of their last seven away games
  • Bagdat Kairov (KAZ) has 13 yellows and one red in 29 league apps for Aktobe

Today's Football Fixtures

Lukas Hradecky, Oliver Antman, Robin Lod, Glen Kamara and Joel Pohjanpalo are the star names in the Finland set-up, with all five expected to start on Sunday. Veteran forward Teemu Pukki is likely to be used as an impact sub later on in proceedings.

Poland vs Finland Odds

Poland are 4/9 favourites to make it three wins from three at home in Group G, while Finland are 11/2, or a 15.4% chance, to do the double over their opponents, having beaten the Poles 2-1 in Helsinki on June 10. The draw is priced at 3/1, and both teams to score again can be backed at 11/10.

To Win to Nil - Poland @ 5/4

Jan Urban claimed an impressive 1-1 draw in the Netherlands in his first match in charge of Poland last Thursday, and he will take great encouragement from his side's recent home record.

The White-Reds have won their last three home games to nil, beating Lithuania (1-0) and Malta (2-0) in March World Cup qualifiers before seeing off Moldova (2-0) in a June friendly.

Granted, Finland represent an upgrade on all of those three sides, but the Eagle-Owls have a rotten record on their travels, winning just one of their nine away matches (D2, L6) since the start of last year; their only victory came in Malta (1-0) on March 21.

Finland have failed to score in their last four away defeats, losing 3-0 to Greece, 2-0 to England, 1-0 to the Republic of Ireland, and most recently, last Thursday, suffering a 1-0 loss to Norway in Oslo.

The Finns beat Poland 2-1 in June's reverse fixture at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, but, crucially, there was no Lewandowski or Zielinski available for the Poles. With both back in the fold and playing on home soil, they should be confident of winning to nil against a side that lost all six of their Uefa Nations League matches last year.

Player to Receive a Card - Kaan Kairinen (FIN) @ 7/2

Finland midfielder Kaan Kairinen was booked in June's reverse fixture for a foul on Zalewski, one of three he committed in that game.

The 26-year-old picked up five yellows for Sparta Prague in last season's Czech First League and has already been cautioned once this term.

Kairinen has a tough job on his hands in Chorzow, as he must deal with the likes of Zalewski and Szymanski, who are both averaging 1.5 fouls won per game in this qualification campaign.

In a vital match, he may well be forced to take alternative action again to deal with Poland's trickiest players.
