Real Betis vs Sporting Braga Prediction: Los Verdiblancos to book their place in the semi-finals

Real Betis and Sporting Braga couldn't be separated in the first leg of their Uefa Europa League quarter-final, so it is all to play for in Seville on Thursday (20:00 BST, TNT Sports 6).
Betis are looking to reach the semi-finals of a European tournament for the second year running, while the visitors are seeking their first semi-final place in this competition since the 2010/11 season. Below you will find my Real Betis vs Sporting Braga predictions, accompanied by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Real Betis midfielder Isco is still working his way back up to fitness following an ankle injury. Angel Ortiz has a dislocated shoulder, while Junior Firpo is a doubt once again owing to a knock.
Defender Natan will miss the game due to suspension, so Manuel Pellegrini is likely to put Diego Llorente next to Marc Bartra in the heart of the back line.
Giovani Lo Celso may have a small role to play after making his return from a thigh issue at the weekend against Osasuna. Antony will be pushing to start here after beginning the first leg on the bench.
Braga's Adrian Barisic is out due to a muscle ailment. Sikou Niakate is also unavailable after rupturing his Achilles in the first leg. Diego Rodrigues was also taken off in that fixture with an issue, so he's also going to miss out.
Rodrigo Zalaza has missed his side's last three fixtures and so he remains a doubt.
Real Betis vs Sporting Braga Predicted Lineups

Real Betis vs Sporting Braga Odds
Betis have won four of their five home games in the Europa League this term, and Betfred see them as the 9/10 favourites to prevail in regulation time.
The stalemate is 13/5, which may be tempting after the events of the first leg.
Braga are 3/1, which reflects their record of five victories from their past 13 away matches.
There have been goals at both ends in three of the hosts' five home fixtures in the UEL, and BTTS - Yes is marketed at 4/5 on this occasion.
Real Betis vs Sporting Braga Stats
- Betis have won 4 of their 5 home matches in the Europa League
- Under 2.5 Goals has landed in 6 of Braga's past 7 outings in this competition, including last week's first leg
- Fewer than 3 goals have been scored in 4 of Braga's previous 6 games in all competitions
Match Result - Real Betis @ 9/10
Betis worked hard to salvage a draw in Portugal a week ago, thanks to Cucho Hernandez's second-half penalty. Los Verdiblancos now have an excellent opportunity to book their place in the semi-finals on home soil.
The Spanish outfit have fared well in their temporary home of Estadio de La Cartuja, winning four of their five European matches here in 2025/26. The other result was a draw with Nottingham Forest, so they are yet to be defeated here.
Braga will look at this as a challenge, but they have been unpredictable on their travels lately. The visitors have won just five of their previous 13 away trips in all competitions (D3 L5), and they may not be able to handle Betis given their home record.
I am backing the home team to come out on top inside 90 minutes at 9/10, which has an implied probability of 52.6%.

Total Goals - Under 2.5 @ 10/11
Goals were hard to come by in the first leg, and I predict this will be the case again on Thursday. This has been a successful bet in six of Braga's previous seven games in the Europa League, including each of their last four road trips. The Archbishops have also seen this selection land in four of their past six fixtures in all competitions.
Under 2.5 Goals has also struck in each of Betis' three most recent competitive matches.
