Boy, oh boy. What a massive game we have coming from the Championship’s relegation battle on Saturday lunchtime (12:30 BST, Sky Sports Main Event).

Portsmouth could deal Leicester City a knockout blow in their bid to stay in the division, with the Foxes struggling down in 23rd. Below you can find my Portsmouth vs Leicester Predictions, featuring team news and betting tips.

Team News

Portsmouth boss John Mousinho will be desperate to maintain the momentum built up over the past two games, which has seen his side beat promotion-chasing Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town.

That means we should see an unchanged side, presuming goalscoring centre-back Conor Shaughnessy can manage two games in four days. Conor Chaplin is available again having been ineligible to face his parent club, but John Swift is likely to get the nod ahead of him in the number 10 role.

Colby Bishop will hope to notch again having got the second against Ipswich, with Marlon Pack and Andre Dozzell set to feature in the engine room.

Leicester boss Gary Rowett can only dream of back-to-back wins right now. A 1-0 defeat to Swansea last time out could lead to him making more changes, but it's difficult to say any Leicester player deserves to start.

Jordan James should come back in to play at number 10, while Abdul Fatawu has to produce more from the right wing. Jordan Ayew may lead the line ahead of Patson Daka to provide a more physical presence away from home.

Today's Football Fixtures

Portsmouth to win and under 3.5 goals @ 9/5

Pompey have given themselves a real shot in the arm over the past week. This Coventry fan is absolutely delighted they managed to pull off shocks against both Middlesbrough and Ipswich, but now they must nail down Leicester in this relegation six-pointer.

Fratton Park is going to be massive for them again if they can recreate the atmosphere from Tuesday night, and I’m not sure Leicester have the fight for this battle. They are winless in five, and if they lose here it’s a long way back.

Let’s add under 3.5 goals to the home win to boost our odds, with neither side likely to open up on the South Coast.

Luke Thomas to be booked @ 3/1

Luke Thomas has struggled this season at left-back for Leicester, but Rowett doesn’t really have another choice in that position so he is set to keep his place. After being booked against Swansea, he’s now racked up 10 yellow cards in 39 Championship appearances, and Portsmouth will look to target him.

The bright Adrian Segecic looks most likely to be his direct opponent and should give him some issues, with Portsmouth’s wingers often receiving a lot of the ball. I like this price, especially in a tough away game in which nothing will be held back by either side.
