Galatasaray vs Liverpool Prediction: Lions can’t be tamed by Reds at Rams Park

Galatasaray suffered a second-leg scare against Juventus in their Uefa Champions League knockout phase play-off tie last month, with the Italians fighting back from a 5-2 defeat in the first leg to triumph 3-0 in Turin and force extra time. The Turkish giants, though, made their man advantage count, scoring twice in the extra 30 minutes to secure a spot in the last 16, where they will face six-time winners Liverpool.
The first leg takes place this Tuesday (17:45 GMT, TNT Sports 1) at Rams Park, where the Lions beat the Reds 1-0 in the league phase earlier this season. Below are my Galatasaray vs Liverpool predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.
Galatasaray vs Liverpool Betting Tips
- Price Boosts - Ryan Gravenberch (LIV) 2+ Fouls Committed & Mario Lemina (GAL) 2+ Fouls Committed @ 9/4
- Double Chance - Galatasaray or Draw @ 1/1

Team News
Arda Unyay (unspecified) is still sidelined for Galatasaray, with the 19-year-old last featuring in the Lions' 2-1 Turkish Cup win at Fethiyespor on January 13, when he was taken off in the eighth minute due to injury.
Otherwise, Okan Buruk appears to have a fully-fit squad available to him.
Alexander Isak (leg), Wataru Endo (foot), Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley (both knee) remain in the Liverpool treatment room, but Alexis Mac Allister, who suffered a knock in last Friday's 3-1 FA Cup victory at Wolves, should be fine to start on Tuesday.
Florian Wirtz, who made his return from a three-game injury absence as a second-half substitute at Molineux, is seeking a first start since February 14, but if Mac Allister passes a fitness test, the German playmaker may have to settle for a place on the bench again.
Ibrahima Konate, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitike are expected to return to Arne Slot's starting XI, with Joe Gomez, Curtis Jones, Andy Robertson and Rio Ngumoha all suffering demotions.
Galatasaray vs Liverpool Predicted Lineups
- Galatasaray: Cakir; Sallai, Bardakci, Sanchez, Jakobs; Torreira, Lemina; Yilmaz, Gabriel Sara, Lang; Osimhen
- Liverpool: Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Ekitike
Galatasaray are 11/4, or a 26.7% chance, to secure a second Rams Park win of the season over Liverpool, who are 4/5 to wreak their revenge, implying a 55.6% probability of success, with the draw offered at 16/5.
Betfred's Price Boosts for this first leg include Mohamed Salah to register 1+ Shot on Target, 1+ Foul Committed, 1+ Foul Won & 1+ Tackle at 8/1 (was 6/1).
Galatasaray vs Liverpool Stats
- Gravenberch (LIV) & Lemina (GAL) committed two fouls apiece in September's H2H (both were also booked)
- GAL won that UCL league-phase game 1-0 at Rams Park
- GAL have lost just one of their 20 home matches this season (W15, D4)
- LIV have suffered seven away defeats in 25/26
Price Boosts - Ryan Gravenberch (LIV) 2+ Fouls Committed & Mario Lemina (GAL) 2+ Fouls Committed @ 9/4
This was a winning bet in Gala's 1-0 victory over Liverpool on September 30, with Ryan Gravenberch and Mario Lemina each committing two fouls, and both midfielders were booked, too.
Gravenberch is averaging a foul per 90 minutes in this season's Champions League, while his Premier League average (1.1 per 90) is marginally higher.
The Dutchman made three fouls in last Friday's cup win at Wolves, which came three days after a 2-1 Premier League defeat to the same opponents at the same venue, where he committed four first-half fouls and received a yellow before being hooked at half-time.
Lemina, meanwhile, is averaging 1.5 fouls per 90 in the Champions League, and in last Saturday's 1-0 Super Lig success at Besiktas, the Gabon international registered three fouls and was booked in the 77th minute before departing the field five minutes later.
Both Gravenberch and Lemina are crucial for their respective sides in midfield, breaking up the play, and I can see the two getting stuck in again on Tuesday, so this Price Boost appeals at 9/4.

Double Chance - Galatasaray or Draw @ 1/1
Gala are a force to be reckoned with at Rams Park.
The Lions have lost just one home game all season, going down 1-0 to Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in the league phase of the Champions League on November 25.
Buruk's charges have won 15 of their other 19 matches at home this season (D4), including a 5-2 hammering of Juventus in the first leg of their knockout phase play-off tie last month.
Even more pertinently, Gala beat Liverpool 1-0 at Rams Park in September, one of seven away defeats for the English outfit in 2025/26.
Tuesday's visitors have lost two of their last five away games (W3), including a 2-1 Premier League defeat to bottom-of-the-table Wolves last week.
The home side's supporters are sure to create a hostile atmosphere inside Rams Park, and the Reds will probably be happy to avoid defeat and settle the tie at Anfield next Wednesday.
At EVS, I'm taking Gala to win or draw on Tuesday.
