Netherlands vs Nepal Prediction: Levitt and Paudel to score high for their nations

The 2024 T20 World Cup has made a spectacular start with an entertaining win for co-hosts the USA on opening night and a Super Over finish to the clash between Namibia and Oman.

Two more of the tournament’s minnows do battle in Dallas on Tuesday, with the Netherlands and Nepal set to swing for the fences at a converted baseball stadium.

Netherlands vs Nepal Odds 

The Netherlands are 2/5 to take the win in Dallas, with a Nepal victory available at 15/8, while the Dutch are 1/1 to have the highest score after six overs of the respective innings. 

Nepal Most match Sixes @ 13/8 

The ground at Grand Prairie is known to be a paradise for hitters and a graveyard for bowlers because of its dimensions and wicket. 

The pitch is flat and hard, which makes it easier for batters to guide the ball to the boundary as it comes onto the bat with good pace. 

It is also only 55 metres to the rope at one end, which means bowlers need to be very accurate to avoid being whacked for fours and sixes. 

There were 21 maximums struck in the first game of the tournament at this ground when the US chased down a target of 195 to win with more than two overs to spare. 

That total could be eclipsed here with both teams packed with big hitters capable of exploiting the short boundaries. 

When these two sides met in a triangular series earlier this year, however, it was Nepal who launched the most sixes. 

The Rhinos registered 24 sixes in three matches against the Dutch while their opponents managed only 19 maximums, which suggests Nepal could be value in the most sixes market.  

Michael Levitt - Netherlands Top Run Scorer @ 3/1 

Levitt is a hard-hitting right-handed batter who also bowls a bit of medium fast, but it is in his role as an opener that he has really flourished in international cricket. 

The 20-year-old made his Netherlands debut in that triangular series earlier this year and made an instant impact with scores of 54, 135, 4 and 54. 

After continuing to produce during matches against Ireland and Scotland in the spring, Levitt takes an average of 43.62 into the tournament with a strike rate of over 153. 

Levitt warmed up for this event with an unbeaten 55 in the Netherlands' 20-run win over Sri Lanka and looks to be in the sort of form to make another big score on Tuesday. 

Rohit Paudel - Nepal Top Run Scorer @ 18/5 

Captain Rohit Paudel comes into the tournament in equally good touch and Nepal may need a big innings from their skipper to upset the more experienced Dutch. 

The 21-year-old made scores of 112, 81*, 72 and 0* in matches against West Indies A just over a month ago, although he lasted only three balls in the Rhinos' only warm-up match unaffected by rain. 

He is a quick scorer with all the shots in the book and a solid temperament that means he is unlikely to be fazed by the big occasion. 

Paudel top scored in one of the three triangular series clashes between the nations earlier this year and appears to be a reliable option in the Nepal top batter betting.
