RCB vs GT Prediction: RCB can go back-to-back

Royal Challengers Bangalore were comfortable winners over Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 of this year’s IPL play-offs before GT managed to beat Rajasthan Royals to earn a place in this final.
RCB are looking to become just the third team to win back-to-back titles in this competition, joining Chennai Super Kings in 2011 and Mumbai Indians in 2020. GT are aiming for a second IPL title in just their fifth season in the competition.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are 4/5 to win this one while Gujarat Titans are evens.
Virat Kohli is a 2/1 favourite to be RCB’s top scorer while Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan are 2/1 joint-favourites to be GT’s top batters.
Team News
Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Phil Salt has recovered from a finger injury but may struggle to keep Venkatesh Iyer out of the lineup, who has a strike rate of 184 and can bowl part-time spin too.
Gujarat Titans are likely to continue their pace-heavy attack, with Sai Koshore picked for their game against Rajasthan Royals last time out and not even bowling.
RCB to win @ 4/5
Royal Challengers Bangalore were dominant winners over Gujarat Titans when the two met in Qualifier 1 of these IPL play-offs and it’s hard to see anything but a repeat of that result in this clash.
RCB put on an impressive total of 254/5 in that game on the back of Rajat Patidar’s unbeaten 93 before skittling GT for 154 in reply.
Gujarat bounced back to beat Rajasthan Royals on Friday but beyond their top three there is a distinct lack of batting depth in this side, something which RCB exposed in that meeting.
RCB have won 21 of their last 30 matches and finished the regular season with the best record and best net run rate in the tournament. Their batting depth combined with a very handy bowling attack makes them very tough to beat and they are a solid pick to secure consecutive titles with a win in this year’s final.

Virat Kohli over 35.5 runs @ 5/6
Virat Kohli has long been the main man for Royal Challengers Bangalore and the veteran can make a big impact on this final once again.
The 37-year-old made 43 in last year’s final and has been in fine form again this time around, averaging 50 this season. On what looks likely to be a batter-friendly surface, it’s hard not to imagine that Kohli will rise to the occasion again.
Side with him to go over 35.5 runs in this year’s final.
