RCB vs GT Prediction: Rabada to fire Titans into Sunday’s final

Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans head for the Himalayan foothills for the opening shot of the IPL 2026 play-offs on Tuesday (7:30pm local, 3pm BST, Sky Sports Cricket).
The HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala hosts the showdown between RCB, who topped the standings on 18 points, and the second-placed Titans. The winner goes straight into Sunday's final in Ahmedabad; the loser gets a second chance in Qualifier 2 in Mullanpur. Here are my RCB vs GT predictions.
RCB vs GT Betting Tips
*odds correct at time of publishing
Just net run rate separated RCB and Gujarat Titans in the table, though it's the Challengers, the defending champions, who are just preferred at 4/5. GT are EVENS.
Virat Kohli is 2/1 to be the top RCB runscorer, with Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharson 11/5 to do likewise for the Titans.
Team News
RCB star Virat Kohli is still unsure who he will open with as Phil Salt battles to be fit. The England bludgeoner has been out for almost a month with a finger injury, but has flown back to India in a bid to play.
Venkatesh Iyer would make way if Salt is available, while RCB could also be tempted to drop Suyesh Sharma on a ground which has hosted the only game in this year's competition where spin was not used at all.
The Titans are at full fitness and unlikely to throw in any curve balls.
Their only decision surrounds which impact player to utilise, paceman Prasidh Krishna or spinner Manav Suthar.
Gujarat Titans to Win @ EVENS
Gujarat Titans head to Dharamshala for the first time in IPL combat and they can make it a trip to remember by downing the defending champs and going straight to Sunday's final.
The Titans have been the absolute form team of the second half of the campaign, winning six of their last seven matches, including a four-wicket success over the Royal Challengers in Ahmedabad on 30 April.
Their pace attack, spearheaded by MVP leader Kagiso Rabada, should flourish in conditions where seam tends to be more influential than spin.
RCB would dearly love Salt to be fit to open alongside Kohli, whose presence at the top of his side's order is beyond debate. Rabada has got Kohli out five times in 16 innings and that battle could go a long way to determining the outcome of the match.
If the Titans can get Kohli - or others at the top of the order - early, then it exposes the middle order to wily Afghan spin king Rashid Khan, and suddenly the Gujarat franchise holds all the aces.
RCB have lost three of their last six, but they have won in Dharamshala in conditions not normal in India.
The Titans just look overpriced at even money.

Over 12.5 Match Wickets @ 5/6
Three completed matches at Dharamshala this season have seen 36 wickets fall. Conveniently, 12 in each of them.
Now RCB and GT, arguably the two best bowling attacks in the league, meet in Qualifier 1 and between them they can eclipse the 12.5 Match Wickets line.
RCB's Bhuvneshwar Kumar and GT's Rabada each have 24 wickets this campaign - the most in the league - while Rashid Khan has 19.
The batters are good here, the bowlers even better, and it would be no surprise if one of these sides was bowled out.
