GT vs RR Prediction: In-form Royals can reach final

Three straight wins have put Rajasthan Royals in a strong position to reach their first IPL final since 2022, as they prepare to face Gujarat Titans on Friday (3pm BST, live on Sky Sports Cricket).

Despite being on the road, Rajasthan Royals are the 4/5 favourites to win Qualifier 2 and reach the 2026 IPL final.

Gujarat Titans, who beat the Royals in the 2022 final, can be backed at 1/1 to win Friday’s clash.

Team News

Gujarat are likely to name an unchanged team from the side that started against RCB, but their batting order might be switched.

Batting at seven, Rahul Tewatia smashed a quickfire 68 on Tuesday and could be pushed back up to bat at four or five.

Rajasthan are also expected to stick with the same team that performed so well against Sunrisers Hyderabad, with Sushant Mishra likely to get the nod ahead of Shubham Dubey.

England have given permission for Jofra Archer to stay with the Royals, with the paceman set to miss his country’s first Test against New Zealand.

RR to win @ 8/11

The Royals go into the second qualifier having scored 200+ runs in their last three matches, including 243/8 in the win over SRH.

Youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been the outstanding player of the tournament to date, with the opener leading the race to win the Orange Cap.

Suryavanshi has smashed 680 runs in 15 appearances at a ridiculous strike rate of 242.85, with Gujarat’s Sai Sudharsan sat second in the run-scoring charts with 652, with a strike-rate of 157.86.

The Titans though will need to respond and step up a level, having been comfortably beaten by Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who won by 92 runs.

Much of the pressure will be on Sudharsan and Jos Buttler to deliver with the bat, with the Gujarat pair both falling short of 30 runs against RCB.

The two teams have met twice this season, with one win each, but momentum is with the Royals going into this clash.

Dhruv Jurel to score over 24.5 runs in the 1st Innings @ 5/6

Although the impressive Suryavanshi has got most of the headlines, Dhruv Jurel has played a significant role in getting RR to this stage.

The wicketkeeper-batter smashed 50 from 21 balls in the play-off win over Sunrisers, which came off the back of 38 in the 30-run win over Mumbai.

Jurel has a top-score of an unbeaten 81 in this year’s tournament and has an average of 39.08 going into Friday’s big clash.

Jofra Archer to be RR's top bowler @ 15/8

England fans might be frustrated by Jofra Archer’s absence in the first Test next month, but they and the selectors will at least be pleased to see him shining in the IPL.

The paceman sits third in the competition bowling stats, with 24 wickets in 15 matches and an economy rate of 9.17.

Archer goes into this qualifier having collected six wickets in his last two appearances, including 3-17 in four overs against Mumbai Indians.
