Lucky 15 Tips: Danny could hit the target at Nottingham

Seven races at Nottingham on Thursday afternoon - summer ground, and some tip-top jocks in attendance like Cieren Fallon, Cliff Lee, Danny Tudhope and upwardly-mobile claimer Jack Callan.
Lucky 15 tips? Perfect material. Interested (fingers crossed)? Here's the thought processes behind today's selections.
Lucky 15 Tips - Thursday 2 July 2026
- 14:00 Nottingham - Innichen @ 5/2
- 15:30 Nottingham - Ceinture d'Orion @ 7/4
- 16:05 Nottingham - Empirical @ 5/4
- 16:40 Nottingham - Mohmentous @ 5/2
*Odds correct as of the time of publication
14:00 Nottingham - Innichen @ 5/2
A 6f nursery handicap, for juveniles.
Our selection is Innichen, a Mehmas colt trained by Jack Channon at West Ilsley. Three runs full of promise, including winning last time in a Pontefract maiden at the minimum by 1.25l at the end of April.
Looks like he's been put away for a little break before this handicap debut and even with joint-top weight and an opening mark of 74 his chance is obvious. Ed Greatrex is doing the steering.
15:30 Nottingham - Ceinture d'Orion @ 7/4
Class 5 handicap over 10f, for three-year-olds.
Ceinture d'Orion is a Sea The Stars filly that's making her handicap debut after three spins in novice company. Hails from the David O'Meara yard that's having a decent spell at the minute and so is jockey Danny Tudhope (19% strike-rate over the last fortnight).
She's only really disappointed once, on soft ground, and the other two runs on good and good-to-firm were perfectly respectable. Expect more now sent handicapping from her powerful yard.
16:05 Nottingham - Empirical @ 5/4
Another Class 5 three-year-old handicap, this time over 8.5f.
Empirical is with Ed Walker in Upper Lambourn - a gelded son of Kingman about to have his fifth start. Off an opening mark of 66 in his first foray into handicap ranks 54 days ago he finished just 1.5l adrift over this precise course-and-distance, and with that mark unchanged he can prevail this afternoon.
He was tardily away on that occasion on his first start for 101 days and can reap the benefit today, under the excellent Cieren Fallon.
16:40 Nottingham - Mohmentous @ 5/2
Basement Class 6 handicap for three-year-olds and upwards, over 10f.
Our pick is the Mohaather gelding Mohmentous, with Ollie Sangster at Manton in Wiltshire, and once again we've got the outstanding Danny Tudhope in the saddle.
Two wins from seven starts for this fella, and is in terrific form right now. Runs off the same mark (59) as when beaten 2l at Bath 37 days ago, finishing well, over a mile.
The extra 2f should suit a treat and prior to that last spin had won two on the bounce. There's the requisite stamina on the dam's side as she's by Bernardini, a Grade 1 scorer in the US over this 1m 2f distance.
If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £122 for a £7.50 total stake. If you can improve upon our selections (of course you can) - then go for it!
